Great Hotel in Barcelona with a professional staff.

The location is calm and close to Diagonal Mar shopping center.

The Spa and Gym center is a must : clean and modern machines Perfect for a 20 min run before going to work or to relax in the Jaccuzi at the end of day.

Room with sea view: Have you ever dreamed to wake up and see the mediterranean see so close than you fell you can touch it ? This is what you can fell when you wake up in Atenea Barcelo Mar.

Great Location also if you are with a car because you can park for free in front on the hotel in the public parking between the sea and the hotel.

The TV in the room is small but the bed was great.

Will go back there soon!

The staff here are very good, they were very friendly at check-in, and then when our sink malfunctioned the staff were very quick to get it all sorted.
The restaurant in this place is also fantastic. 4 of us had the best meal of our holiday here, and including wine and water 3 courses came to €64? Very very reasonable for the sort of meal that would have cost £100+ at home. And thr breakfasts there were pretty much faultless as well.
The only thing thats stopping me from rating the place 5* here is that the rooms are clearly reaching the end of their lives. We had 2 rooms, and although they both had comfy beds and very good showers, The battered desks, very worn armchairs, and little niggly things going wrong with the bathrooms, such as the sink getting stuck and the flush button not workibg properly detract from the whole experience in what could be an excellent hotel.

In summary, the location is spot on, about 30 mins walk from the centre, the service is spot on, the food is spot on, but the rooms could really do with a renovation. Doesn't stop the place being great value for money though, especially when you book direct and get free parking!

During our entire stay there were plenty children playing in the lobby the whole day. Room cleanliness and quietness were fine.
Pool area clean but no staff to either be at the bar. Parking is well organized. Reception staff really depends on who is helping you. We had twice a receptionist who had no idea what she was doing making the e.g. check-in procedure very long. But we also had receptionist who was very helpful and knowledgeable.

If you are looking for an affordable place to stay near Barcelona, this hotel is a good choice. We debated between staying here or within the city. This worked out for us because we had a rental car and plans to visit other parts of the area also. Couple of notes, if you plan on driving to and from Barcelona there is a 4.50 euro toll each way. The hotel is in a good location, parking was not a problem, and the breakfast was fine. It is around other buildings but still manages to be quiet. There are plenty of restaurants in the area, but we didn't find one that was good. Cafe de las Arts was good for dessert and coffee, but we never had a decent dinner and any of the restaurants (4 nights, each time a different restaurant!) You are near Tarragona, so it was worth the visit, the ruins were interesting. The room itself is not big, very clean, master bed was a bit small and flat. The couch is for one person (sheets provided) and the ottoman opens into another bed (which we figured out the 2nd night). Travelling with two teenagers, it was tight, but we were not in the room that much. The hotel itself was very clean and grounds were well kept. The security was also pretty good. Nice office area, with one computer that was available most times we needed it. Staff was nice and helpful with directions and info.

We really enjoyed our stayed at this hotel. Teh beach is accross the street, which is very convenient, only they do not have beach towels. Parking places are at the same building, ath the breakfast buffett is very good. They have a real nice staff, friendly and helpfull. I would return to this hotel no doubt about it.

Dear guest, I would like to inform you that the parking is just at the corner of the hotel, you need to go over the pavement, drive down the ramp, and press the bottom, and we open the door, the at the check/in we need to register the car. The price is 17€ per day. Hope to welcoming you soon at the hotel. Best regards, Nela Gutiérrez Guest Experience Manager
