if you want a vacation that includes visiting, shopping, relaxing, the hotel is perfectly located.
even it is a little far from the city it is easy to get to Catalunya by using the bus 41 that stop in front of hotel. (it takes approx. 20 min) also there is a metro station( we used poblenou) wich is located at 10 minutes walk. use T10 ticket.
the room is ok, we had sea view from our room, from 7th floor. the room was cleaned every day. we didn't served breakfast at hotel, because it seemed quite expensive ( 15 euro). we preffered a bar near hotel, also for the morning coffee.
if you want shopping there is a little mall diagonal mar, 10 min walk from the hotel, but i reccomend to shop from city center.
also the hotel has a free sauna and gym for the guests.

Stayed in this lovely hotel, perfectly situated on the beach but a great hour-ish walk into town along the beach. The hotel was lovely with a nice restaurant (great breakfast!), bar with great gin and tonic and free wi-fi which was handy. The hotel staff were very friendly and spoke very good English. The room size wasn't great and needed a redecoration but the bathroom was really clean and came with fresh towel, extras and a good hairdryer. There is a minibar but we didn't use it. We had a side room which we could see the sea from.

A very well-located hotel in Barcelona. Just outside the city-centre (5 minutes by metro which is located close to hotel itself). The beach is right across the street and is very quite and totally not touristic or whatever.
Rooms in the hotel are very nice and are cleaned properly every day.
The staff at reception are very kind and always willing to assist (level of English is good).
I was here with a group of friends, and were visiting the DGTL Barcelona Festival just 10 minutes away from the hotel. We were treated as normal guests, even though we were the youngest guests in the hotel.
I would come back next time!

We went as an extended family with 3 rooms. Hotel is adult only and good location for beach although a bit too far from the city centre for tourism. Pool and pool bar are ok. Breakfast is below average, you have to pay for a double bed and bathroom had mould around the bath and sink. It’s not really a 4 star as advertised. Wouldn’t stay there again.

Booked this hotel as a surprise 30th Birthday trip for my wife. I contacted the hotel a few weeks before arriving to arrange some bubbly and some cake to be put in the room on the birthday. Nela, our guest experience manager was so kind and helpful. She made sure our room was ready early as she new we we arriving before 2pm. She gave us a stunning room on the top floor overlooking the whole sea front of Barcelona and on the Saturday while we were out she put the bubbly and cake in our room with a lovely happy birthday note for when we returned. The hotel is spotless and really comfy. Beach is 4 or 5 min walk away. We used the Metro everyday to get around the city. Only about a 10min walk away. Bought a 10 trip ticket for 9.95 so was cheap as chips to get around. A Taxi to the W hotel right at the other end of the sea front cost about 12 Euros on a saturday night. Didn't eat at the hotel as we prefered to eat out but the food did look really nice. Loads of nice restaurants and bars all the way along the sea front and the olympic port (20min walk) has all the bars and restaurants you could ask for. None of them cheap, but you don't go to Barcelona for a cheap trip.
Overall a really nice hotel and I would definitely stay there again if we return.

Regarding your question about renting sunbeds and umbrellas,just opposite you have many beache where they have that service, but it is independent from the hotel.
But we provide at the recepcion beach towels and umbrellas for free .

We didn't take beach towels or parasols, it states on their website that there is a small charge (around €1) which we were happy to pay. When we arrived we found a beach bag with 2 beach towels and a parasol in our room. We were not charged for using them.
You may have to pay if you don't go in peak season.
