Diane Keaton visits Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney's new sandwich shop Something About Her... which has a dish named after Annie Hall star

Diane Keaton paid a visit this week to Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney's newly opened sandwich shop Something About Her.

After a number of postponements, the two Vanderpump Rules stars were finally able to launch their business venture on May 22.

Their menu includes various sandwiches named after romantic comedy stars like Reese Witherspoon, Drew Barrymore, Meg Ryan - and Diane.

Now Diane herself has stopped by the establishment for a bite to eat, as seen in a picture uploaded to Katie's Insta Stories.

The 78-year-old exhibited her trademark style - a bowler hat, a blazer and pair of black-rimmed spectacles - while posing with Katie's mother Teri.

Katie glowingly wrote over the snap: 'we had an unexpected visitor today... thank you @diane_keaton for your support! it was such a pleasure having you'.

She did not specify whether the The Godfather actress tried The Diane, the sandwich named after her that costs $16.

The menu item is stuffed with Sicilian tuna salad, dill, olive oil, sunflower microgreens, preserved lemon and marinated fennel, served on an artisan baguette.

Diane has a long history with romantic comedies, including several made by Woody Allen, such as the enduring classics Annie Hall and Manhattan.

More recently, her forays into the genre have seen her star in the Book Club movies alongside Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen.

One of the other themed sandwiches at Something About Her is The Cameron, named after Cameron Diaz, whose wine brand Avaline is also served there.

Other offerings are named after movie stars like Kate Winslet, Kerry Washington, Viola Davis, and another is named for noted rom com director Nancy Meyers.

Katie and Ariana's respective exes Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval own two Los Angeles bars together, TomTom and Schwartz and Sandy's.

The two women spent two years gearing up for the debut of their own business Something About Her, only to hit multiple roadblocks in the process.

One issue was their disputes with their chef and consultant Penny Davidi over matters such as salary, as seen on Vanderpump Rules.

In April, Katie appeared on the podcast Popping Off With Teddi Mellencamp and Emily Simpson and shared that she and Ariana had parted company with Penny.

However just weeks later, Katie and Ariana were able to go on Watch What Happens Live and announce to Andy Cohen that their shop was opening on May 22.
