Health Cluster countries and regions

Health Clusters exist to relieve suffering and save lives in humanitarian emergencies, while advancing the well-being and dignity of affected populations. Currently there are 30 Health Clusters/Sectors, of which two are regional coordination mechanisms (Pacific and Whole of Syria).

The Health Cluster Dashboard as of March 2024 reflects the Humanitarian Response Plans. The Health Clusters are targeting 89.1 million people with US$ 3.22 billion in funding requested, of which US $0.35 billion (11%) has been funded.

Health Cluster Coordinators are responsible for facilitating and coordinating the engagement of health partners in countries to deliver quality programmes and services to the affected populations.

The Humanitarian Country Team decides to activate clusters as part of an international emergency response, after consulting with national partners (including the government) and based on the existing coordination capacity on the ground being insufficient to coordinate an effective humanitarian response.
