Somalia

Conflict and insecurity in Somalia have hampered development in recent years. Famine in Somalia has put millions at risk of severe malnutrition and outbreaks of diseases such as cholera and measles. In 2001, famine led to the death of more than 250,000 people. The Health Cluster is working to combat malnutrition, with emphasis on vulnerable groups such as children under five and pregnant and lactating women, as well as to monitor and control outbreaks.

The information displayed here is updated in reference to the Health Cluster dashboard, in quarterly periods.
