Central African Republic

Since violence erupted in 2013, Central African Republic has been in the midst of humanitarian crisis. Despite gradual progress in development since, inter-group violence has remained frequent and grievous. Human rights violations are a daily occurrence, including assassinations, torture and rape. The humanitarian situation is further impacted by fragile governance, poverty, and the plundering of natural resources.

The Health Cluster is particularly working with Internally Displaced Persons, vulnerable groups such as children, pregnant women and people with disabilities, and those in the areas of greatest humanitarian crisis. The Cluster works to provide essential emergency health-care, outbreak detection and control, vaccination, and to support the construction and rehabilitation of health infrastructure.

The information displayed here is updated in reference to the Health Cluster dashboard, in quarterly periods.
