We went to Ratskeller for our last meal on our German trip and we weren't disappointed.
The food is good, the choice of beer excellent, the service very efficient and the prices reasonable.
Shame we had to drive back to Berlin and couldn't enjoy one more beer...

Probably a little more expensive than others but we’ll worth it for atmosphere and experience. A Monday night and it was really buzzing. Good quality, authentic regional German food. An extensive range of beers, local and otherwise. If you wish you can order “ a tasting menu” of 4 different beers. Service is traditionally brisk and prompt.

This was my first restaurant in Leipzig cause I read some good reviews here. I wasn't disappointed. Excellent beer (Dunkles Kellerbier) and I tried for the very first time Schweinshaxe, I was so full but very happy with the service.
I recommend it to the people coming here. The only thing I didn't like was that apparently, bees love beer too hahaha, so they can be annoying.

Lieber Carlos Ríos, wir haben uns über Ihren Besuch auf Ihrer Deutschlandreise sehr gefreut und bedanken uns für Ihre gute Bewertung und Ihre schönen Fotos.
Leider lässt es sich im Sommer - und dann natürlich auch noch im Freien in unserem Biergarten - nicht verhindern, dass auch Wespen Gefallen an unseren Speisen finden. Wir bedauern das sehr, können und dürfen es aber nicht ändern.

We sat outside. Pretty nice! Service slow. We had to ask for water 3 times and it arrived after dinner. Expensive tap water. The food was expensive and not First class. Not a number 1 restaurant at all.

Great meal, interesting historical place. Polite staff, we liked them. I ate a schnitzel with potato salad and it was GREAT. Trying to cook it at home and managed 70% of their quality. Simply an inspiration!

I Went there alone while my friends went to the stadium. Great pub in beautiful square. No cars zone. Delicious cocktail called bbc made with theyr homebrewed beer. 10 euros

Many thanks to the entire Ratskeller team for the really great evening. We would like to emphasize the excellent support of Andrea with her service colleagues, the kitchen, which prepared a great buffet, but also the support in advance by Mr. Winkler in the bidding phase. All our more than 100 colleagues where totally happy with the event.
Our highlights:
* Uncomplicated quotation and planning phase, exactly as we requested, incl. specific payment modalities, beautiful sensible menu/buffet recommendations and 1:1 implementation, prompt, very friendly communication by mail.
* Beautiful ambience, everything was prepared to the point as planned
* Friendly and attentive service staff
* The Mediterranean buffet was highly praised by all our colleagues, also because of the many delicious vegetarian dishes.
* Closing of the event took place without any time pressure around 23:30. Thank you for that!

Came here to eat with my parents from Italy. The food was great, there is also a huge selection of beer. Bow down to the waitress (Lena) who even tried to speak Italian with my parents :)
