Great Range of Veggie Options

we're a veggie couple and found more on the menu for us than any other Greek restaurant - around 6 different mains! we both had the grilled veggie and halloumi platter and it was perfect, not too much, great flavours, and we shared a Greek salad as a starter and I wanted to drink the sauce. The place looks a lot more modern inside than a lot of Greek restaurants. The service was quick, friendly and professional. They have retsina wine, and ouzo after your meal on the house, just like in Greece! Would recommend for a moderately priced dinner.

Lovely service. Fairly priced

Location A little off the beaten track in a row of restaurants. Lots of outdoor seating. We sat outside. The room inside was also really nicely furnished. Food & Drinks I ordered the Zypriotascher Teller at €9.90. It was great to see a good few vegetarian options in a sea of restaurants serving pork this, pork that. I don't eat Pork. I was more than happy with the lunch menu. My Taller was very tasty & good value. My husband ordered the Moussaka at €10.90. He was happy with his choice. A bottle of water was €5.90. A bottle of Greek Rose was €24.50. A cappuccino was €3.60. A bowl of soup was served to both of us as a prelim to the meal. This was FOC & a lovely tasty touch. We also each received a shot glass of Ouzo with our bill. Another generous touch that was much appreciated. Service Our waitress was charming. Patient, helpful, truly excellent. Overall Restaurant is in a nice setting with great service. Good food at a good price. Some extras at no costs. We were very impressed & would be very happy to return

Super restaurant ...Awesome service and food

What a great restaurant. The service is excellent and very attentive. We ate here twice during my one week stay and both times were exactly as good. The food was fresh and good. The restaurant served us complimentary ouzo a few times during at the beginning and end of the meals and it was appreciated (although not needed). I would return here without hesitation.

Great food and service

Came for dinner while passing through the city. Menu has lots of choices and as we could not decide we each had a serving with various grilled meat and then you could chose fries or tomato rice. It was really good an a biiiig portion. First we had a salad that came with dish. The wine list has a couple of choices of open wines you can buy by glass /bottle and larger variety on a separate wine menu. We had one those which was a Greek fruity wine that went well with the meat. Oh and the meal started and ended with an Ouzo shot so we almost left singing.

Good Food, Good Price

The food is good with reasonable price. I especially like to Gyros and Gebratene Aubergine. Service staff is friendly. Make sure you make reservation in advance if you want to eat at dinner time. We came 5pm, so we got seats.

The wonderful smells as we entered the Restaurant was just the beginning of an amazing culinary experience. Efficient and friendly staff and amazing food. We enjoyed our first so much that we returned three days later....

No Words ! An amazing gem !

There are simply no words to describe this lil haven of tranquility , hospitality and simply amazing food . The ambience is just what everyone needs . The food is fresh and cooked to order by the most amazing chef and served by a wonderful lady . We have been there several times and always want to return.

Mediocre food, service ok

Overrated mediocre food with ok service. Food is as standard as in every Greek restaurant, nothing special. Prices are a bit high. Service is unflexible, no chance to change things. It’s not worth going there.

Alfa is an excellent Greek/Mediterranean restaurant, which I discovered last year and was very happy to return to last week – indeed on four separate occasions. Only a few minutes’ walk from my hotel, it again became my local. Wide choice of typical dishes, and an extensive wine list. Excellent service: efficient and courteous, without being over-familiar. Just right. I can’t remember why I only gave Alfa ****/***** last year. This year it’s ***** without the slightest hesitation. (But avoid Elliniki, the Greek restaurant in the centre of town. See my review.)

Great food and fair price

We had a 1 night stopover in Leipzig and chose Alfa for dinner with the family. We were happily greeted on a busy night and were well taken care of even though the restaurant was packed. Good service, great food and happy memories

Loved the selection of food on offer and the price was really good. A great selection of drinks on offer including a welcome Ouzo. Would definitely visit again when in Leipzig.

Very good Greek food and very friendly service

•Very pleasant restaurant, with a large terrace, offering typical Greek dishes. •A little more seasoning would be welcome, as certain dishes are a little on the bland side. But this is a minor quibble (and the only one I have). •Friendly service, and the waiters and waitresses remembered me from one visit to the next (I ate there four times…) Many thanks to Behar and his colleagues. I hope to see you all again very soon.

A feeling that takes you back direct to Greece! Superb atmosphere, excellent service, friendly staff. We came here by accident, but is definitely my spot for as long as Im in Leipzig.
