What can I say? Super relaxed, super nice staff, innovative and different cocktails (+ classics at the end of the menu). We had a great experience, and if we ever come back to Leipzig, this is a must visit!!

Had dinner here today because of the rating. Meat was overcooked and the “potato gratin” was watery. Not sure where the almost 5 stars come from...it is ok no more and it’s only vertu is to be inexpensive. People are relatively nice

We made a special trip to Leipzig specifically to check out this restaurant after reading reviews here and other research we had done on new German cuisine. We pulled up to the restaurant at 7pm on Thursday May, 30th 2019 and it was closed :(

Spent some time at Imperii tonight on my own and had a great experience. Was well looked after. Took my time, no pressure at all. Enjoyed a main and dessert and benefited from wine suggestion from an accommodating waitperson. Highly recommended.

Even though this is one of the first bars one encounters when coming from the train station and entering the centre of the city, it is actually a really good choice. The bar is open until very late, staff friendly, food healthy and well-prepared, and the cocktails are quite original and eccentric. Prices are fine too. I have been to imperii several times (usually at a time when most restaurants were closed already) and must say: it's actually a great place, both in terms of food and the atmosphere. Staff are down to earth and have a cosmopolitan attitude, there is nothing provincial about this place: it feels generous and open-minded. Thumbs up.

A nice quiet, relaxed atmosphere, even though it’s located close to a shopping area, we sat outside, was pleasant and comfortable. Good friendly service. Food was tasty, and reasonably priced. The Cocktails were good too, pretty pricey for what you get amount wise, although they do use quality alcohol, so that’s understandable. Would go back again.

The location is perfect for the bar, the staff is extraordinarily skilled and the drinks are marvelous! Despite the food, being great instagram food (nice to look at, but lacks in depth or flavor) this bar is perfect. Love the staff, friendlyness and a great advice are always available. Go here for cocktails and drinks!

We were a little group of friends staying for four nights in Leipzig, and though there were other places nearer to the center of the town, we ended up every evening spending some hours at Imperii, after having discovered the place on the first evening. Even late in the evening/night you can get a little to eat while you are trying some of the drinks from the wast selection on the card. In fact we were mostly into gin and tonic, and there are several types of gin and special tonics to choose among. During the daytime you can choose among some delicious dishes and a wast selection of wine. The room is spacious and nicely decorated, the music is not too loud but pleasant. And the staff is very patient if you can't decide immediately which drink you want.

We went to this restaurant based on TA ratings, as well as handiness to our apartment (Apartments Central Leipzig - Highly Recommended!). Frankly, it was somewhat of a disappointment. In retrospect, reading the reviews for this place, it looks like it makes its name based on the bar, not necessarily the food. Not that the food was that bad; but the difference in portion size for two entrees of similar price was profound. My entrée, the special, was so large I could hardly finish it without feeling overstuffed. On the other hand, my wife's chicken was very flavourful, but in any other restaurant would be considered a small appetizer.
Trendy it is, and if that's your thing, have at it. We won't be back. I will say that the service was friendly, but for the price we paid, and given the smaller entrée, there are better alternatives to be had.

Yes, it's also a restaurant and you can get something to eat, which is much better than ordinary barfood. Bartenders creates great drinks and they take challenges.
Staff is working hard to provide the best customer service and they succeed :-)

Modern, clean, reasonably priced, and popular with the locals. We spent a couple of hours here and enjoyed good service throughout. The dim lighting lends a cosy atmosphere to the place, which is predominantly a restaurant and cocktail lounge but, as one might expect in this part of the world, served a good beer. I would go again if in Leipzig.

On an unusually warm evening we sat outside for a drink. From time we sat down to receiving drinks was 1/2 hour. Totally unacceptable in my view for a bar. Cocktails when they arrived were great.
