Central hotel in Barcelona Poblenou, located just minutes from the metro Llacuna located in Poblenou, in the heart of Barcelona 22arroba District, the most innovative part of the city where are engaged companies focused in R+D. The hotel is very close to the best beaches of Barcelona, a few minutes from the port of Barcelona and only a few minutes to the more touristic centre via the Metro stop Llacuna. Travelodge Barcelona Poblenou is a spectacular new building with 9 floors and 250 comfortable and spacious rooms with air conditioning and internet. In addition, the hotel has a 24 hours Bar-Cafe with seating for 112 diners, Free Unlimited Wi-fi in public areas, 2 meeting rooms with natural light, private underground parking for 78 vehicles, vending machines and luggage room. The hotel also has a nice outdoor Terrace Bar. Travelodge Barcelona Poblenou is an ideal place to stay whether traveling for business or pleasure. It is also one of the best cheap hotels in Barcelona center.

We had a problem as we did not book directly with the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel for our holiday the hotel staff told us we would not be able to have an infant and a child stay with us in a twin room (due to insurance). The booking site did not make it clear this was the case and we booked for a family to stay together. It was made clear on the booking that I was travelling with my two children and my husband. We had to book another room on arrival at the hotel at our own expense. This was refunded (Eventually) by the booking company. The booking company was slow to sort this out and it affected our holiday. The hotel made it clear this was not their problem and that we needed to contact the company we booked with. I think there needs to be better communication between the hotel and booking websites. It should not be possible to make a booking for a family and arrive at a hotel to find the whole family can’t stay in the same room.
Our actual stay at the hotel was good and I recommend the hotel itself. Be aware when booking through other websites, especially when travelling with a family as there are rules about the number of children staying in a room.

However, we are sorry to hear about your comments on the booking process. As per insurance and legal requirements we cannot allow 4 people to stay in a twin room. It is shown clearly on our website and we try to have this information also clearly reflected in all different channels. Hard to believe some of the poor +negative reviews about this hotel !! This is a basic Travelodge chain hotel which is reflected in its price range but located in an ideal spot for a fantastic beach and easy transport links to all areas of Barcelona. Lovely tree-lined areas surroundings for relaxing and watching the world go by!
Travelodge Poblenou is very clean (despite reviews I read from recent stayers!!) Bed comfortable and the staff are friendly, multi-lingual and helpful. Ask at recetion for hairdryer, duvet etc and it will be provided without fuss. Vending machines available. Bar open in evening.
We didnt eat in Travelodge as located next to the Rambles where we preferred to go.
Would thoroughly recommend if you just want a good room as a base in a great location outside the city with options to travel around to the city for sight-seeing or stay local and enjoy eating, drinking and beaches

Great base location to explore Barcelona using the nearby metro or take a bus from the stop right outside the front door. There are convenience stores and restaurants very close by on foot and the sea front is also within walking distance. We spent a night in the hotel prior to catching a train next morning. Th circumstances were bit unusual is it was just before the Coronavirus restrictions came in to force - the hotel was closing next day. The receptionist was very helpful and provided lots of useful information about the current situation He managed to rustle up dinner and breakfast, despite limited availability of potions. As always with Travelodge, the room was immaculate and comfortable.

Positive:
Christian is the best staff at the hotel reception. He is supportive, patient, cheerful and to does his best to help customers with their needs and requests.
Good location, proper access to public transport and can walk to the beach.
Negative: They charge customers for WiFi while it is free all over the world even in small shops. Breakfast is too expensive. The back side yard is too noisy late at night as they do some activity like collecting rubbishes and bed sheets. Some staffs are not welcoming with no proper customer service skills. There are building works or a neighbour is noisy. Not enough facilities like kettle, coffee, cupboard for clothes at rooms. My personal towel was taken by the cleaner by a mistake and when I reported to the manager, she offered me a used one and tried to convince me that is was a new one! Dirty pillows! Walls are not sound proof and the beds were shaking when next door customers closed the doors.

Can’t complain with the quality of the room/ building/ location/ staff/ cleanliness. For 32 €/ night it is quiet, and 5 minutes to the subway. Only body wash available as amenity in the bathroom, others available for purchase.

Reciption is not professional. either no answer or wrong answer. Hall way smells terrible. Additional wifi charge per day like it was in 1990, and the signal is weak. only plastic cup, not even paper ones. not possible if you want to drink hot tea or coffee.

Receptionist were much busy talking to each other than welcome the new customers. Not smiling or making an effort of trying to explain how things work and where there are. We booked room for 3 people in which the room supposed to be a family of 4. The room was tiny in which family of 4 would NOT fit. There was ONE SMALL (a bit too high) shelf and only 5 hangers on a small rack, and 3 pillows. 4 small plastic cups in the room and if cleaner been they where not replaced so you needed to go down to reception and ask for new plastic cups. The water was cold at the beginning of EVERY shower. And at the end of the stay the receptionist didn’t even ask us how was our stay. Oooou and we supposed to have kettle and tea in the room but there was nothing!

Just wanted to say thank you for a great stay - we had a few queries and we were so looked after! Really cared about my disabled travelling companion. Nothing was too much for Berna and Lucia!
The local shops, tubes and buses make this a brilliant location and without being in the hustle bustle centre. Great for us older travellers!

The hotel is large and this creates a problem on the reception as there is always a queue.
There is breakfast option and large restaurant, which we didn't try.
The rooms are pretty cosy, nicely furnished. Unfortunately, there is no fridge and no balcony.
Only one electric socket next to the bed, and two sockets on the table.
There is only one chair in the double room. Good bathroom with a bathtub.
So when you are going to discuss your activities one of you have to be lying on the bed.
There is free WiFi, which is pretty bad and there is paid WiFi, which is said free on the holder of your key card,
but you get it only, if booking on their website.
For grocery there is 250m to Condis on the way to metro, 150m to Dia in the same block, 450m to Mercadona, and 745m to Lidl.
The hotel is located 400m from Llacuna metro station. From that station you can reach in 15 minutes the Gotic quarter, 20 min Placa de Catalunya, 25 min Sagrada Familia,
40 minutes Park Güell.
Poblenou district is really nice with lots of platans and outdoor cafes, not as crowded as La Rambla and city center,
where you can find lots of places to eat on Carrer de Marià Aguiló.
It is 850m to the beachfront. The beach has a steeply descending bottom, not good for small children.
There is breakfast option and large restaurant, which we didn't try.

Hello. Train from the airport you pay zone 1 to paseo de la Gracia them you change for the metro, urquinona to llacuna them is a short walk use google maps
No, this hotel doesn’t provide a mini fridge it’s rooms
Turn right out of the hotel and the first road you come to is a 'Ramblas' so it's a street full of shops, cafes, restaurants etc
