Staff were helpful and friendly. First impressions good - Clean hotel. Our room was Cleaned every day with fresh bedding and towels. Great food. Although limited choice. Bar/Cafe is 24hours. So are staff. Location is spot on. Close to everything but out of the hustle and bustle of the centre. Great transport links and 10 minutes walk to the beach

Good clean budget accomodation and reasonably priced and in a good location 5 minutes walk from Las Ramblas.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Cafe/ Bar on the ground floor, next to reception open 24 hours, ideal for unsocial hours arrivals and departures. Rooms are clean and basic, although a deposit needs to be paid for extras such as hairdryer although refundable. I would use again

We stayed here for 3 nights last week, and it was as we expected considering what we paid. Very comfortable bed and very clean. Only a small desk provided and only a very small space in headboard to place a clock/watch. English channels on TV. I asked at reception for a kettle when we arrived, not sure why tea/coffee facilities aren't provided without asking as it would be here in the UK at Travelodges. I kept a small plastic bag topped up with ice from the bar and this kept the milk, which we brought from a shop, fresh all the time. I also took 2 china cups from the breakfast area as paper cups were only provided. No glass allowed in rooms, I'm guessing there has been issues with broken glasses too many times?
We asked for a quiet room and the room was at the back of the hotel away from the road and at the end of the corridor away from the lifts.
Breakfast was adequate, no thrills but good value. We booked breakfast at time of booking, you can pay for it each day but payment has to be made before you go in. Nothing can be added to the room.
We paid for the WiFi in our room, don't really understand why this isn't included in room rate as its a given to have WiFi nowadays.
Staff were very friendly and spoke good English, very helpful with local maps and information.
Store room available for luggage if needed on day of departure, very secure.
The area-the metro station is a 5minute walk. Do watch out for pickpockets, my purse was very nearly taken from my handbag as I was putting my ticket in the barrier at Llucana station (nearest one to the hotel) the chap was hanging around the machine where tickets are purchased and saw me get my purse out of my bag. I heard the zip being opened and managed to turn around and stopped him. A good reminder to be very careful of belongings.
10euros will buy 10 journeys-T10 I think it was called.
Poblenou has its own Rambla with lots of shops/restaurants. 10 minute walk to the beach and a nice walk all the way along the front into the centre which took about an hour.
There is a new hotel being built next to the Travelodge so development is ongoing in the area.
So it does what it says on the tin, our expectations were met and we were pleased with our stay

Positives
Quiet
Good size rooms.
Modern and clean.
Easy walk to Metro. Llacuna - 7 minute walk to station. 15 + minutes by Metro to Barri Gotic. When I learnt the ropes of the Metro being a little out of the city didn't worry me.
Great restaurants nearby in Rambla Poblenou. Recommend Timesburg Hamburgueseria on the next corner. Very popular.
Hotel staff very obliging.
Downside
No fridge in room. It was very hot when I stayed and the only way to get a cold drink was to buy a 350 ml bottle at the 24 hour bar for €1.50.
No safety deposit boxes in the room and no facility to leave valuables with front desk.
Breakfast not included. Add an extra €7.00 daily if you want this.
No WiFi in rooms . Only public areas. Extra cost for WiFi to your room €3.50 per day. I paid €20 for the week.
Breakfast was good. Maybe the juices could do with a little less water.
Overall OK for a senior like me. The hotel attracts a much younger student clientele.
Pets are allowed at an extra charge. I specifically asked for a NON pet room and no problems. No pet pong!

We stayed for four nights here for less than half of the nightly rate at any more upscale place. I was concerned it would be sketchy like a hostel or in a bad neighborhood. It's not. Poblenou is a great neighborhood with lots of little restaurants, bars, and shops, busy and safe to walk around, but outside the tourist bustle. Easily accessible by Metro. The room had no frills but the hotel was clearly built recently with good plumbing and good beds. The staff were friendly and helpful 24 hours a day, and the place was quite bustling when we were there (September). No frills means no closet (just a bar for hangers), no hair dryer, no dresser, just a flatscreen TV on the wall and a minimal desk. Wifi is only free in the lobby, you pay in the rooms.

Sorry for the late reply. The area at the hotel looks a bit empty and rough to be honest but don't be put off as literally around the corner the rambles is great place lots of choice and I saw lots of children out and about also the time I went was hot so lots of outdoor places to sit, eat outside and people watch , hope this helps? Thanks
