We stayed here for 6 nights largely because excellent reviews we read on TripAdvisor. Unless you stay on the "executive floors", the service is not really that good. For example, we arrived early and asked for early check in. With some fees, that was possible. Without asking us they put us in smoking room although we did not know about it. During the middle of the night we woke up because dense smell of cigaret smoke coming through the vent. We complaint to the front desk about it, but their answer was that we did not specify on our reservation for non-smopking room. We are from US (the majority of people are non-smokers) and Hilton is American company, the front desk could have asked us whether smoking room is OK. By the way I am a Hilton HHonor elite member and stay at Hilton at least 4 times/year across the world. They do have our profile specifying "non-smoking room". After some argument, they moved us to a non-smoking room. Generally service was not that good. We had to use the same little bottle of shampoo and little bar soap for 2-3 days unless we called the front desk and ask for them. They did not change towels every day and despite our request, they forget to put wash rugs. When we complain to the front desk, a woman named Christina started argue with me and with my wife and said it is our fault. As you may guess from my other reviews, we are very friendly and not so fussy people. About location, many reviewers states that it is near the central station. Unless you wish to use rails everyday to go far, I am not sure why this is such a big deal. The station is dirty and full of 'scary looking' people sitting around. This hotel is far from the city center where Duomo, Gallaria, and castle are located (i.e., not walking distance away). Unlike what some reviewers stated, we did not find many good restaurants except one or two. The surrounding of the hotel is very quiet. It is great if you live in Milan but not if you wish to have good time for your vacation. Breakfast was OK. So unless you are in Milan for business and must stay here on executive floor, find a nicer hotel near the city center.

This hotel is next to central station , Milan & is at walkable distance . Hotel lobby under renovation & hence have made make shift arrangement in seperate hall. Staff is courteous & service is prompt. We were upgraded to King executive room on 8 floor with lounge access ( iam hhonors diamond). Room was spacious With balcony. Breakfast was very good with fresh juices/ omelette station with nice varieties of food.

I was sent to two dirty rooms at 10pm and only received a clean room after one hour of back and forth. I missed my friend's wedding rehearsal dinner and the hotel management was completely unapologetic of the situation citing that "it is not a front desk issue but rather housekeeping." They tried to give me a free breakfast and access to the lounge in lieu of my trouble, however, I am already an HH member.

I’ve heard some complains from my colleagues about the rooms size and quality of the hotel so my expectation was not high. Fortunately service was nice, my room was spacious, lobby and breakfast area looks pretty good and location is just next to the main central station. Price seems to be sky-high but this is somehow common to all hotels in Milan.

I am writing this review within two hours of being here.

Check in was quick and fast. A guy called Andrea checked us in and he was very friendly and helpful.

We checked into our room where the toilet seat had piss stains on it. We called and asked them to change our room, which they did. The new room had the same thing - piss stains on the toilet seats!!!

What kind of 5 star hotel run by a well known brand such as Hilton allows room for mistakes of this kind. After our first complaint someone should have checked our second room before releasing it? Isn't a housekeeping supervisor supposed to check the rooms before releasing it into the system?

They also charge €6 to serve food to your room???

After a long journey you would expect to come to a clean room which you are paying top dollar for - don't expect that if you plan to stay at this hotel. Stay away from this dump.

The housekeeping department should get an award for such attention to detail they display at this hotel.

After checking with the housekeeping supervisor, she confirmed me that the problem with the toilet was mineral residue of the cleaning product not rinsed properly. I would say early check in No ! We got there and our room wasn’t ready so we left the bags and went out to the city Hotel was very busy at the time and of course the high status card holders are allowed late check outs so it will ultimately depend on the day Email them about a day room as they can possibly give you a reduced rate

Sorry to be a little late in responding. Yes if Hilton Honors then wifi is free. But also check with hotel before booking, using web or phone. It is a fantastic location, enjoy your stay.

The only difference is that in delux category hotel can accommodate an extra bed if guest requires.

Sorry I am not familiar with the type of room you have booked. Not all rooms have been refurbished. We stayed twice, late April and mid May. This is an extremely well run hotel with great service and close proximity to Milan Central Station. Might be worth a telephone call to hotel, all staff were very helpful. Safe travels!
