All hotel rooms are "upgraded" however some of the can feel pretty cramped. Even with the premium internet, it is slow and often cuts out. FaceTime audio (forget having the bandwidth for video) is not feasible at most times (kicks off, disconnects, freezes, etc.) and working can be very difficult. Working ladies frequent the lobby and I've had them hop in the same elevator trying to pick up a customer and it's just odd. It's even stranger that the hotel allows them to loiter (I guess there's enough guests that are looking for those services).

I am here for 3 nights on business and my immediate impression is that this place needs some money spending on it.
Check was fine and staff were great albeit I was amused by the bottles of water that are twice the size of those in the mini bar but half the price - why do hotels always try and rip you off..?!
First room stank of smoke even though it was supposedly a non smoking room - sadly a consistent issue with mainland Europe hotels. The staff were great and quickly changed my room with no fuss.
Fitness room should not be confused with a gym.
In summary this place is functional with great staff but needs modernising. If you want something different there are few cool boutique hotels that offer a more unique experience but this place is OK. But only just OK, in a couple of years it will be well past it's best.

The view from the room was the main road and the building in front of the Hotel.

We stayed one night on our way to Florence because the hotel is about a block away, walking distance with luggage, from the central train station. The front desk averted us from our original reservation to the newly remodeled second floor, for more money of course, but it was a clean, quiet, beautiful room. The concierge was generally helpful although he recommended a very expensive restaurant with an unfamiliar menu. We chose to eat elsewhere. The breakfast is five star. Nice, clean gym. Good, free WiFi. Not close to attractions. We would stay again because it was clean and close to the train station.

Hilton Milano is in a beautiful location right next to Milano Centrale. Really good property, very quiet rooms, clean lobby, excellent internet connectivity, awesome gym, great bar, SUPER breakfast with great hot/cold items, awesome Italian cappuccino/espressos. Stayed here for 3 nights on business- could not ask for better!
