We chose the Sheraton because of it's convenient location at the airport as we were only in Amsterdam for the night and had an early flight back to the US; but it was a mistake. The room was small and not very comfortable and the 'healthy colour' breakfast was only available through room service for an exorbitant charge.This was the only hotel (out of many we stayed throughout Europe) where they actually charged for WI-fi which seemed a little over the top. Guests were told we had 30 minutes free and we carefully timed our usage so it was under the 30 minutes. However, upon check out there was a 24 hour charge! When we queried it, the manager was called and he was unpleasant actually blaming us for their accounting error. After several minutes of irritating arguments the charges were removed, but should not have been there in the first place. Next time we will go into the city and stay at the far pleasanter small hotels.

Great stay, the room was clean, the room was quiet, the service was great.
The only thing was, that we were STARVING.... we went to the hotel restaurant... oh ... my .. god!! The schnitzel we ordered was greasy and so grossly displayed.. looked like it had been dragged out of the bin. My partner refused to let me eat it and refused to pay for a €20 dish that looked like it had been made on a road side. Would NEVER EVER eat there again!!! ... but would stay as i sleeping guest!
WOULD NOT ORDER ROOM SERVICE!!!!
Go to the main hotel for food as much more inviting food choice!!

Located within Schiphol airport this hotel is very modern. Clean, comfortable rooms with free wifi. Staff checked me in early without any problem. Rooms were quiet with great views of Schiphol airport. Room service seemed very costly so opted for cheaper meal in the airport.

Short walk from the train station into Amsterdam.

I had stayed at this hotel many years ago, in the age before Trip Advisor and on-line reviews, possibly in the last millennium. Much has changed since.

I always enjoyed the convenience, the direct connection to the terminal building, but service did not leave an impact. Now, it does. The front desk and porter service is efficient, warm, and helpful. The business lounge staff on floor eight are also friendly. The SPG representatives were eager to listen to any critique and make the place even better.

In a 2 week period, I stayed on 3 occasions for 4 nights and 6 days. All stays were enjoyable. They had a room for me for 3 early arrivals and 1 late departure. The gym is excellent. The free apples and cold water were a plus. Breakfast at the eighth floor lounge includes many nice options. Internet is fast. Room service could have been better, but with so many options available in the train station-terminal area, it may not be the best place for the hotel to make an investment. Rooms have a refrigerator, so one can buy meals at Albert Heijn, which I did: very good sushi.

Overall, it is a fabulous place to base oneself at Schiphol Amsterdam.

had an unfortunate experience with employees at the hotel. at check out was billed double the price for room service. The front desk lady started arguing, then finally bothered to double check and saw that we were getting charged with someone else’s orders. all the while acting unfriendly, she demanded the correct sum. I was late for the flight and short of ten cents. Finally, I suggested that she pays the 10 cents from her pocket or charges the card. unbelievably obnoxious and rude, the service at the Sheraton that day reminded of prosecutors. previously they also messed up the room service dining order, forgetting some of the order. so if you are tired, keep in mind you can’t fully relax while around the sheraton staff.
