It was a private tour with a UK guide. The private tour meant I didn’t have to worry about our personal items being left in the van. The meet up point was easy to find, quick drive out to Zaanse Schans where we spent around 3 hours wandering the small town.
We saw the windmills and got to climb up to the top, we watched how wooden shoes are made, watched a cheese making demonstration with lots of samples to try and bit of shopping. This was a great tour to start off our trip. Plus, it kept us going after our overnight flight. Our driver dropped us off at our hotel around 1.

In retrospect, it was very easy to do - just keep walking out and there it is. Anna was able to calm our nerves and warmly invite us to her beautiful city!! She was compassionate and kind and did amazing with our special needs son. She was knowledgeable, flexible, kind, and fun!!! She planned an AWESOME itinerary and we just loved our quick visit. Getting back into the airport and collecting our stored luggage was a breeze. The driver/host communicated with us the day before and morning of. He arrived early and was waiting for us as we walked out of our hotel. Once in the car, we had a brief discussion of the layout of the day and were asked if we had any custom requests. Through conversation, he suggested a few additional places he could stop that we would enjoy and he was spot on! He took us places no other tours included. The drive to Brussels was comfortable and easy; the car was immaculately clean and stocked with water. Once we arrived, we were dropped off right at each destination with clear and specific advice on what to do and when to meet back up. Each time, he was there waiting for us exactly as planned. We saw (and ate) the best Brussels has to offer, all in style. Having someone so well informed customize our day for us and share the history with us was absolutely priceless to us. On arrival, driver was waiting with name sign, so easy to find. Vehicle comfortable and spotless. Simple drop off at hotel; we were in a rush as we had other timed activities planned and the driver did his utmost to get us there.
