Write a reviewThis is my second stay at the Sheraton, the first about 5 years ago. Still an excellent airport hotel. There is direct access from the arrivals hall via signs to the Hilton and Sheraton.
One does not have to go outside - instead there is an escalator to the parking area which leads also to the hotel. Checkin was a breeze and as everyone reported the rooms are very soundproofed. The halls and rooms are carpeted and there is a minibar and Wifi. On every floor is an ice machine as well as coffee machine which grinds the beans automatically on the spot. Bathroom amenities were up to par - towels and soaps and shampoos.
The distance to the airport arrivals hall is a 2 minute walk and there one can find a supermarket with everything a supermarket has to offer making this hotel not only an excellent short term location but also one that can suit someone who needs to spend a week here.

We decided to stay 3 nights at this airport location to see if we could visit Amsterdam without driving our car into the city. We found out that this was a fantastic idea! A large parking garage with available space for hotel guests, tons of restaurants within steps of the hotel right in the airport and most importantly, a train station directly below the hotel to whisk you into Amsterdam in 20 minutes. All of these conveniences made our decision to stay here even better than anticipated. Our room had a view of the airport where you could watch planes take off and land. The room was also very quiet and no noise was heard from adjacent rooms or from the busy airport. We highly recommend this hotel for clean, quiet rooms and convenience when you decide to visit Amsterdam.

Just stayed night of 14th November 2006, got a very good rate including buffet breakfast from otel.com.
Ensure you shop around for good rates do not pay Hotel rack rates
Friendly check in staff ,given Excellent double room, very comfy bed and pillows.
Good Location at the Airport for early departures ,head towards Parking Area 1, via Schipol Plaza after leaving arrivals
A very brief walk back to the Plaza allows you to catch a train to Amsterdam Central, journey time is around 18 minutes and trains run very frequently, Return Journey costs around 7 euros.
Beware - If paying the buffet breakfast was poor value, Ok for cereals and fruit,poor quality cooked breakfast.

We had a very early flight from Amsterdam airport and therefore decided to drive to the airport in the evening before and stay overnight at the Sheraton Airport Hotel. This was a good decision. The hotel is next to the P1 parking on Schiphol airport, a short walk (about 5 minutes) to the departure hall, all inside the airport buildings.
The receptionist was friendly, check in quick and easy. Our room was clean, modern and well equipped, the bathroom as well. We had a good sleep, although personally I found the mattress a bit hard. In the morning we had the quick self check out, got the receipt per email.
All in all it was a very good experience and staying the night at the Sheraton made our early flight departure less stressful.

Because of the lay over on Amsterdam we agreed to have a nice dinner at the Sheraton Schiphol hotel restaurant. We were in a company of 3 and what we did not know was the reconstruction going on at the restaurant so we had reservation at the hotel's bar. The hotel just find a good solution for their guests to serve dinner at the bar. Unfortunately the atmosphere was not great but for a hotel at airport, I saw worse :-). The food was ....average or even below average, prices not equal to the quality and the stuff was ....well they were there :-). With half empty bar with most of the guest only having beverage and 2 tables having a dinner , we had to wait unusual long for taking order on our drinks or even to get an attention from one of the stuff. But perhaps just the holiday season and leak on trained stuff was the reason for this. Parking at Sheraton for as long as we were having dinner was 33 euros ! It would be cheaper to take a parking just infront of the bar at the airport parking itself.
