Kamal Haasan is gearing up for the release of his film 'Indian 2'. The movie is dubbed and will be released in Telugu as 'Bharateeyudu 2'; promoting the film in Hyderabad, Kamal Haasan revealed that his actual stardom began in Andhra Pradesh after he played the lead in the Telugu film 'Maro Charitra' in 1978.
The actor, comparing his Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam stints, revealed that following Tamil, the Telugu film industry has been his lucky place, as he had a powerful line-up of films like 'Akali Rajyam' and 'Indrudu Chandrudu' and many more other films with director K Vishwanath.
Kamal Haasan was last seen in the Telugu film in 1995 with 'Subha Sankalpam', and nearly 20 years later he made a comeback with Prabhas starrer 'Kalki 2898 AD', which was released a couple of days ago. The film has the actor playing the antagonist, and it has been critically acclaimed.
Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2' will be out in theaters on July 12, and the film will be released in Tamil, Telugu,Telugu and Hindi with different titles: 'Indian 2', 'Bharateeyudu 2', and 'Hindustani 2'. Directed by Shankar, the film is the sequel to the 1996 classic cult drama of the director and actor, and Kamal Haasan reprises his role as the former Indian Independence freedom fighter who is against corruption. The movie's cast includes Kamal Haasan, Rakul Preet Singh, Siddharth, Bobby Simha, and Priya Bhavani Shankar. Guru Somasundaram, Jagan, among others, and the music for it is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
