Prabhas' Kalki 2898 AD has surpassed Hrithik Roshan's Fighter to become the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2024. In just 12 days, it earned Rs 218.90 crore beating Fighter's lifetime collection of Rs 212.50 crore. Kalki has till now earned over Rs 500 crore across languages. Fighter also starred Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, directed by Siddharth Anand.

The more time Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi mythological film Kalki 2898 AD stays at the box office, the more and more records it will set for the industry. The film has been at the box office for just 12 days, and has already crossed Rs 500 crore mark across languages, and has now become the highest grossing film in Hindi of the year beating Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter.

On Sunday, Kalki 2898 AD entered the coveted Rs 200 crore club in Hindi language after it earned Rs 22.5 crore on Sunday, thus taking the overall collection of the film in Hindi to Rs 212.40 crore. With this, it was within striking distance of becoming the top film in Hindi this year.The number one spot this year till now, belonged to Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor starrer Fighter, directed by Siddharth Anand.
Fighter was the first big release of the year which was released on the occasion of Republic Day and despite mixed response, went on to mint Rs 212.50 crore as per IMDB, making it the biggest hit in Hindi. But now, the number 1 spot has been taken over by the Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas and Deepika Padukone starrer as the film goes beyond Fighter’s numbers on Monday.
The film on Monday added another Rs 6.5 crore to its kitty, taking the total collection of the film to Rs 218.90 crore. And by the end of the Telugu run of the film, it will cross the Rs 250 crore mark, making it one of the biggest films of Telugu Cinema.
