New Peanuts movie confirmed; to be the second adaptation after 2015

A new Peanuts movie is set to release soon, the second movie adaptation of the beloved comic strip after the first film release in 2015. Created by Charles Schulz, Peanuts follows a lovable group of kids, the main focus of which is Charlie Brown and dog Snoopy. Although Schultz published over 17 thousand Peanuts strips in his lifetime, the story grew into its own franchise through books, cartoons, and even feature-length films.

The script for the upcoming Peanuts film will be written by Karey Kirkpatrick and co-written by Craig Schulz, Bryan Schulz, and Cornelius Uliano, who previously contributed to the writing of the 2015 film. Since the movie's initial announcement in November 2023, not much has been revealed. The release date of the movie is not yet known, although Apple released a short animated film with the Peanuts characters earlier this year in February, possibly alluding to the fact that the film is close to completing production.
