WELCOME TO OUR PAGE!
The Spanish Society is open to anyone at Loughborough University who speaks Spanish, lives in Spain/Latin America or simply wants to practice the language and learn more about the Hispanic culture. Everyone is welcome to join us at any point of the year, but obviously the sooner the better. Our main aim is to meet new people and it’s a great way to open your mind to different countries and cultures. Uni life can sometimes be a bit stressing so we thought it would be great to have a group of friends you can talk to and feel comfortable with. We usually watch football matches together, go out on meals, have punch parties and go out to the Union or town. In representation of our society, we also take part in tournaments or games such as football, dodgeball, wheel chair basketball or 'rock-it-ball'. La Sociedad Española está abierta a cualquier estudiante de Loughborough University que hable español, viva en España/Latino América o simplemente quiera practicar español y aprender un poco más de la cultura hispánica. Todo el mundo es bienvenido y puede unirse en cualquier momento del año, pero obviamente, cuanto antes mejor. El objetivo principal de esta sociedad es sentirnos como en casa o abrir nuestras mentes a otras culturas. La vida universitaria puede ser un poco estresante así que hemos pensado que sería genial tener un grupo de amigos con los que poder hablar y sentirnos cómodos. Cualquier excusa es buena para quedar: ver partidos de fútbol, ir a cenar, ver películas españolas juntos, organizar excursiones, tomarnos algo o salir de fiesta en el campus y fuera de él. Representando a la sociedad también participamos en torneos o juegos como football, dogeball, baloncesto en silla de ruedas o 'rock-it-ball'.
