Royce is a fantastic homey hall. It is situated in the heart of the Student Village and is a quick two-minute walk to the local shop and Accommodation Centre. It is also a five-minute walk to the Pilkington Library, lecture theatres, Students’ Union, Holywell Gym, and other essential locations on campus.

Royce offers a wide range of opportunities throughout the year. Whether you’re interested in playing a variety of sports, getting involved in charity work, or volunteering - Royce has it all!

Royce is known for its sporting capabilities, excelling in sports like Rugby, Football, Netball, and Racket Sports. Furthermore, our Action and Rag Reps continue to uphold our position as a well-established hall in committing to volunteering and charity work, while regularly updating the hall on possible fun projects held by the hall or the university.

Royce is a very sociable hall, hosting punch parties in the common room, block gatherings, and other events on a weekly basis – it is the ideal way to meet other residents in different blocks and integrate into the Royce family. As well as our amazing St Fred’s day which is our summer outdoor hall celebration! It also has tons of fun sober events such as sports days, movie nights, and scavenger hunts!? We also host our own Rag event, the Royce 100, which is a 100 lap race around Royce in memory of a former Rag Rep Peter Holme.

On top of that, as we are a catered hall (three meals a day, five times a week, not weekends), the dining hall remains a fantastic way for you to catch up with your mates from different courses and discuss evening plans.

The social element of the hall makes for an amazing time throughout the year!?Along with the amazing Warden Team, the Committee has put their heart and soul into planning out an amazing year, so that you can make the most of your Loughborough experience.

What are Hall Subs? 
Hall Subs are a membership fee that goes towards arranging events and activities within your Hall of Residence for the whole (or part of a*) year.

There are a number of different Hall Sub Packages including: 
First Year Hall Subs, Returners' Hall Subs, Affiliate Hall Subs, and Single Semester Subs.
