ABOUT ELVYN RICHARDS HALL

All our halls are run by a hall committee, composed by students for students. Elvyn Richards Hall committee helps plan a range of activities to welcome you to Elvyn. They will make sure there are plenty of social and sporting activities that you can get involved in. Being involved in a range of different activities around the Hall is important to us, and it will also help you meet interesting new people! From raising money for charity and volunteering in the community, to competing in Intramural Sport (IMS) and attending social events and balls.

Social life in Elvyn Richards is not one to miss! We provide a huge range of annual social events that are not easily forgotten. Our annual hall days are filled with garden games, a DJ, food, and beverages. What’s more, our hall parties are legendary and well known around campus. Certainly, with one of the biggest common rooms, we always provide the best start to any Loughborough night out. Our annual winter and summer balls are by far the most extravagant of any hall, making them the most anticipated events of the year!

The Elvyn Committee

All halls on campus have a committee that is in charge of the hall. This consists of up to 20 members who help make your freshers and activities throughout the year the best they can be. Each member of the committee has a role and purpose in their own sections , such as Sport secs that run IMS activities or Action Reps that organise all action charity events. They are your main contact for getting involved in that part of the unique and an unforgettable Loughborough University experience!

Your committee is governed through its Constitution and has regular meetings. To learn more about how your hall is governed, you can read the constitution and our regular committee meeting minutes by contacting any member of the committee who will gladly answer any of your questions. We are always here to support you and any concerns you may have, no matter how random.
