With the airport 5 minutes away, the city centre 15 minutes by foot (or 5 minutes by tricycle) this is a very good place to stay. My room was clean, with a van and aircon, towels and a bathroom. The food served is very tasty (!) and not too expensive. It's a good place for a solo traveler to feel relaxed and to explore.
Tip: The firefly tour was stunning!

We stayed at Blue lagoon last may.We enjoyed the entire time.The room was clean and spacious.The pool is clean and they also have a jacuzzi.Great hospitality! the staff was nice and courteous.The food was great as well...It is just a few minutes away from the airport and other dining areas.

Pros: very nice staff in reception and the restaurant, good location close to the airport, free ride to the airport, good basic room with a/c and tv. Cons: the room was not very clean – need some renovation (holes in the curtain), too pricey during high season.

We were pleasantly surprised by the room and hotel. Room was much bigger that we thought. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. Highly recommend this place. Good value for money. Central to everything and close to Airport. Free pick up

Blue Lagoon is a relatively new place so the amenities are also dated. The small villas are quaint but surprisingly spacious enough inside. We had the chance to book a small villa that is very near the pool so my kids had so much fun. It was like looking out at sea but seeing a blue pool instead - definitely relaxing. The food is good and their chef comes out occasionally, esp. when preparing the famed "boodle fight". Watching him prepare it is a feast for the eyes and a mouthwatering prelude to the coming feast to the stomach. The owners are very hands-on and are usually seen about and may largely contribute to the attentiveness and conduct of the staff. You will feel truly taken care of at Blue Lagoon Inn & Suites. Major plus?! It's very close to the airport and they provide airport transfers.

Friendly staff and very welcoming. Pituresque swimming pool and jacuzzi. Food served in their resto is delicious too. Very near the airport and centro. Great value for money especially I got their promo rate and gave me additional discount when I checked-in.

When we arrived at this place, I was amazed of the uniqueness of its structure. The villas, the pool and the reception. Very welcoming, especially the restaurant smells very inviting. The rooms are fragrant, clean and well furnished. The bathroom is clean and complete with toiletries' supply. It also has a terrace outside the room for a good view of the pool, or whatever you want,.
The staffs are very accomodating and friendly, charming too. If you want to go to El Nido or Underground river, they do reservations and bookings. Just inform them for availability and rates. Overall, this is a good pick if you stay at Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

I had emailed this hotel three times within a two week period before I arrived in the Philippines. I emailed them my flight details so they could pick me up, and the hotel did not have the courtesy to respond. Guess what? Upon my arrival at the airport there was no one there to pick me up! I was getting hounded down by taxi drivers to take me to my hotel. So much so a police officer had to step in, and told me to wait until the bus arrives. Around half an hour later (when everyone else has gone), my bus picks me up for a 5 minute drive to the hotel. There was no apology.
The size of the room is tiny, not so much a problem for me as a solo traveller, however sharing a standard room would be an issue. There is no wifi in the rooms, you have to sit outside near the reception area. The people at reception would constantly ask to book an excursion. And just be aware, if you eat in their restaurant there is a service charge! It's expensive to eat there and just not worth it.
Housekeeping was non existent. I had no one to do my room. I would not have minded however it wasn't until I went to the room in the evening to use the bathroom there was no toilet paper left. What kind of hotel is this? But as I was checking out, they had a housekeeper in my room so quick, quicker than lightening, to check if I did not take anything from the minibar or owe them more expenses!! If I ever return to Puerto Princesa, I will not be returning here. Waste of money, no idea why it has such great reviews.

This is a bungalow hotel in the main street, rizal avenue. It is at the end of a muddy road, that is why i always recommend a trike (the nice filipino answer to the thai motorbike..) to go there. The place is composed by bungalows , very basic but clean and a pool at the center. I opted for the bungalow close to the pool but on second thought it was not worth cause i not even used the pool once. The price is not cheap range but you have the comfort of being on your own house and manage yourself (something i really love). I need to mention the nice restaurant next to the lobby, is a great spot where you can have a very good dinner or just a beer.

Stayed here during the last week of October with my daughter. Since I started inquiring, the manager, Norma, had been very accommodating with all my questions. Upon arrival, we arrived earlier than ETA but we just waited a few minutes before their shuttle arrived to pick us up. The place is less than 10 minutes away from the AP. This is a big plus. We arrived earlier than check in time, so we had breakfast 1st at their resto. I was impressed with the serving. I ordered American breakfast with bacon, eggs and toast. They did not skimp on the bacon (like most restos do). The brewed coffee was so good, and the coffee bean used is locally grown. After eating, they offered us an available room; however, TV is damaged, but said they'll have someone fix it. I took it as we're already sleepy from the early flight. The only bad experience I had was when the handy man knocked while we're in the middle of sleeping. Anyway, they fixed all our tours (Underground River and Honda bay), including reservations at the famous Ka Lui restaurant. Blue Lagoon's location is walking distance from Ka Lui, Kinabuch and other restos; or if lazy to walk, there are tricycles in front of the place. Room rate comes with 2 breakfast choices, Filipino or American. I ordered the American breakfast daily and noticed that the serving of the bacon seem to become less each day. Nevertheless, their food taste good (esp the seafood carbonara). They even accommodated our request to reheat our take outs. After checking out, they allowed us to leave our bags while we go to Bakers' Hill since our flight is late afternoon. All in all, I highly recommend the place.
