Interesting collection of cultural artifacts and shells. We found the information boards about the various Palawan cultural groups and the prehistoric settlements the most interesting. Only 60 pesos admission and worth it for those interested in Palawan culture and environment.

This is the first thing I look for when I sent foot on the island. They have a good introductory collection of both historical and natural artifacts. Though, the museum is a work in progress, the attempt to preserve the local culture is a good source of local pride and memory.

Entrance fee is 50p. The museum has twoo floors and is quite small. Upstairs there is some info about the etnique groupes on the islands. It was an interexting visit.
One note: wear long trousers or mosquito repellent. There are hordes of mosquitos inside, ready to attack! I was already bitten all over my legs before I even realized it.

Some very interesting displays and interpretation in English
Interesting sections in the native peoples of the islands with examples of their intricate handwork
A small natural history section and a nice display of china and celadon ware recovered from wrecked ships
Staff helpful and friendly

Must visit when you're in Puerto Princesa. A lot of replicas. There were few genuines. Guides were very informative and very friendly! The museum itself is small but they just upgraded and I think for 50 pesos it's really worth it. I learned and wow-ed a lot at how big palawan is :) thanks to this museum. It convinced me to go back to Puerto Princesa and explore more.

If you are interested in the history of Palawan spent some time in the musuem. We were alone in the place and had all the time to look at artefacts, pictures and reding some of the labelling. It's not sensational but we enjoyed our visi.

Was disappointed with this museum to be honest. I was hoping that there would be more inside the museum but not really. It was small but the caretakers were very nice and accommodating. My mother and I were the only ones there when we visited. It's not a bad museum really, I guess I was just expecting more.
