Excellent is not all about the facilities, but the people from this establishment. Accomodating and excellent staff especially Clemen who is very humurous person we've encountered here, Gwapo, Ganda 1, Ganda 2 and Ganda 3 that all smiling when you will be greeted by them. Addition to this wonderful people and place are the delicious foods that you can have from their restaurant. If given a chance and I will explore Puerto Princesa, Palawan again i will rather stay here. Budget friendly and a very good place to stay. And I would like to extend my gratitude to the Top Peak Travel Agency for providing a very nice tour package for Underground River and Honda Bay Island Hopping.

My wife and 8 members of her family stayed at the Blue Lagoon In & Suite from January 2-4, 2014. My wife and I stayed in styed in a Junior Suite 9 (Room 9) which was actually a room with one double bed and a single bed, a refrigerator/mini bar, a small both room , the room had ample room to store our belongings. The air conditioning worked very well and the tv featured both western(CNN) as well as local tv channels. The hotel is a short drive from the Puerto Princesa Airport. We were picked up at the airport by our local guide when we arrived we were able to register but since our room was not ready we left our bags and used the restroom to change so that we could go out to Honda bay for Island Hopping. When we retuned our rooms were ready upon arrival and when were escorted to our room. After letting my wife's family retrieve our luggage from our room was placed there since the hotel could not determine which bags wen in which room. The hot water worked very well( hit use selection one or two). However I would recommend bring your own soap and shampoo the ones provided by the hotel are very limited We had dinner and breakfast at the hotels restaurant which was very good with good service. If you need your rom to be made up you do ned to request service at the front desk and when leaving the hotel you do need to leave your key at the desk. The hotel is well maintained and has a very good pool and hot tub. The Wi-Fi worked well. The hotel does relay on a generator for its power on our last night at the hotel the power went out three times. When checking out please make sure your entire party is present since each room is checked.

We stayed 2 nights at Blue Lagoon Inn & Suites and it was a wonderful experience. The rooms are quite simple, but very clean and good worth for the money you have to pay. The food is excellent and the staff is extremely nice and helpful. They helped us a lot to be able to visit the underground river, which is the main highlight in this area extremely popular, therefore it's very difficult to get in. The owner and his aunt was helping us a lot with that by calling tour agencies. On our last day the owner himself took us to the airport what I would have never expected the really went the extra mile.

This place is a joke!!! Standard room is a shoebox! The toilet is a matchbox! Stay away if you're not petite! An extra bed was requested and we were given a foam. Now we cannot open our door with the foam occupying the only space in our room so when somebody knocked on our door we have to open the window instead. There's no phone in the room so you have to walk all the way to the reception to complain or ask for something. There were mosquitos in our room and we spent some time swatting mosquitoes.

The Villa small is a bit bigger than standard room but still the toilet is a matchbox size. There's no room for your toiletries, if you got longer legs, your knee will hit the wall when using the toilet. Even their Villa big is not that big, but its better. And the BED! It's made for midget! It's not the standard double bed, it's so tiny it would even be uncomfortable for 2 petite persons. The bed squeaks everytime you move, you cannot get a decent sleep in this place. The pool is not as spectacular as the deceiving photos, it is small, close to the cottages and there's no place to lounge or put your things. Since it's so close to the cottages, you can hear the frolicking noises in your room.

The location is not within the main road, you have to pass through a muddy road to get to the main road. Walking at night could be tricky, you need to bring your flashlight.

The name "SUITES" deceives us, all the while we thought we are booking a Suite Room. No wifi in our room, another deception on the part of the hotel. The breakfast, which is not included to the $45 standard room, is so small, the portion is so tiny and their coffee is not even brewed.

If you can't book a Deluxe Big Villa (not availble during our stay) , then stay away from this place. We checked out the rooms in Edgardo's Place, just along the main road from Blue Lagoon and its wayyyy better, bigger room, bed and toilet. And much cheaper with a good restaurant.

After two nights and two room transfers in Blue Lagoon, we went back to The Legends Hotel, where everything are perfect! We should have stayed there all through out our vacation. BIG MISTAKE!

Loved this place. First, the location is perfect - it's on the main drag in Puerto Princessa, walking distance from all the restaurants and bars, but it's set back from the road, down a little side street, so it isn't loud at all. Secondly, the staff is just lovely - friendly and helpful. Third, the setting is absolutely charming.

The only reason for the lack of a 5th star is that the cleanliness wasn't ideal. They only clean the rooms on demand and, even then, they aren't exactly spotless. Also, be aware that there will be bugs no matter what you do - it is the Philippines, after all.

Family room price was good especially because the inn has a nice swimming pool in the middle. Dorm room for 8 pax rate is very affordble. Location was ok, located in the city and close to restaurants and bars.

We stayed there for 2 nights. Checkin procedure took 25 mins despite there was no queue - also same at checkout.
We tried to have a dinner at their restaurant, ordered meals with starters and drinks for 3. Our friend received the starter and the main at once, we the other 2 nothing. He sent the main back as he didnt want to get it cold until he finishes the starter. He finished the starter and received his main and after our food was still nowhere. After several complaints, in 30 mins, we received our starters and mains again at once. We sent the main back like our friend for the same reason.
We ordered a tonic water which came from the bar in 5 metres from my table in 10 minutes (in an empty restaurant) :D
We ordered 2 whiskeys without ice, both whiskeys came with ice :D Staff is watching facebook and youtube on their phones and their desktop computer instead of focusing on customer orders.

The whole dinner was a nightmare as they always did the opposite what we asked for. And they are highly overpriced too.

During the month of October My Boyfriend and I stayed at the Blue Lagoon for almost two weeks! After arriving at a terrible hotel we had previously booked, we left and fortunately found the Blue Lagoon! It was seriously a life saver. The staff are SO friendly, and we met a ton of great friends here. I really recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean room and an awesome time. The location of this hotel was perfect as well, there was an awesome Vietnamese restaurant across the road called Pho 88. Lots of bars and clubs only a minutes walk away. We are so happy to have been able to stay here and we will for sure be back! Thank you for everything 💗
