This was our first ever visit to Aamby valley and I reserved the place to celebrate my wife's bday We requested for a cake in the room but it wasnt there when we checked in. We had sent an email reminder a day before arrival as well. After checkin, we reminded the staff several times, finally the person arrived with the cake at 11.30 PM, and we refused to accept it. Reservation executive Shoaib Dawood and the front desk team is to blame here. The staff at Aamby valley are experts at providing excuses as a coverup against their degraded services
Other issues:
Jacuzzi had lots of hair in it, we had to clean it before using.
The remote operated curtains didnt work, got fixed it later
No tea or coffee sachets were available in the room, they were provided after 3 hours and 3 followups.
While checking out, we waited more than 30 mins for the buggy to arrive. 4-5 calls were made to enquire.
Restaurants are uber expensive, even a chai tapri (Tuk tuk tapri) with unclean seats and cow dung on floor charges 200 Rs for vada pav and 50 Rs for Tea.
Overall a poor experience. Expect quality services for the money we pay and not excuses.

Our stay dates were in December 2023 based on our experience with a family of elderly to toddler age group below were the
Pros: Great scenic valley away from the hustle and bustle of commercial crowded Lonavala. Peaceful fresh air quality. Throughout the day mesmerizing open Skyview with mountain backdrop and waterside just refreshes the mood, Fairly maintained internal roads gives you a relaxing self driving experience, Vast size of the property has lots to explore, multiple restaurants available spread across the property. Water sports, indoor gaming arena, horse riding, outdoor sports available at extra cost.
Cons: Special attention towards basic room maintenance required, Over priced food if not included during the initial stay package.
Food Catered with average quality and if you avail of the room service facility additional superlative service charges applied (can be a holiday /staycation spoiler)
Few amenities like wave pool swimming, Kids play area park, shopping outlets etc weren't functional anymore.
Distance from our accommodation to Car parking /resturant /food venue for breakfast too is good 15 minutes walk(which is good relaxing walk) or Open car shuttle by the resort needs to be intimated for the service. However, families with small babies/toddlers or elderly members it can be not enjoyable .
Now I come to the not-so-good-part also known as everything else. The service was the worst part of our stay. Though I do not know the specifications of their training, I can easily tell that the staff is severely undertrained. They know about as much about service as a pig knows about the sky. The receptionists were absolutely awful and very unorganised, and their catchphrase whenever we asked about a delay in anything at all was ‘5 to 7 minutes’. Only, it didn’t take 5 to 7 minutes, it took hours. The staff were also unaware of how to talk to guests. When my mom asked for tea during lunch, the waiter told her to get it herself. The absolute worst thing, however, was how the prevalent sexism we saw with the waitresses at restaurants. They openly dismissed my mom and I when we went to one of the restaurants, and the moment my dad entered, would plaster these huge smiles on their faces and pepper him with greetings. On many occasions, I wondered if they could actually see my mom and I. It was such an issue that we actually brought it up once. This waitress at Mahbrouk actually even frowned at my mom and I and denied us any seats even though we could visibly see that the whole place was empty. When my dad came, she did the Aamby Valley waitress routine: smile at the man because everyone knows he carries the cash right? She also suddenly recognised our faces, in that we’d come to Mahbrouk before. When a few other waiters came, they told us that the waitress was actually wrong and that we had many seats to choose from, since the whole restaurant was empty. Was she just dumb or sexist? My mom and I decided to raise our voices at that point and question the partial greetings. That was another thing I liked about Aamby Valley, though it was inefficient on their part: the opportunity to fight against sexism and the patriarchy.
I want to end on a positive note, so I’ll talk about the ambience. The nature that surrounded us was absolutely beautiful and, I must admit that it was a lovely experience to walk back to our Spanish Cottage in the sun and look at all the beautiful flowers and plants that pass us by. Though, if you want nature you can go to a natural park, and if you want good food you can go to a restaurant. What makes a good hotel a good hotel is a beautiful combination of service, nature, and good food.
The overall stay was quite expensive. I reckon people to visit Kerala / South East Asia in that budget after the passing by of Corona virus phase.
Change of room was denied over the reception but was suggested to do it online
Room was not clean with leakages mostly in the bathroom area
Both days the door got locked due to some malfunction and we were stranded out for almost an hour till the lock was fixed
Swimming pool was not maintained
There was no much variety in the food despite various outlet/restaurant
LFC had frozen food and not fresh ones
The internal roads were not maintained
There were no street lights at most of the places during night.
Food is super expensive for eg, a normal egg fry would cost you 500 rps.
I paid 40k for 2days stay but not worth .
2. after long wait we were finally checked in. room were poorly maintained there was no proper sanitization done. in room no. 287A there were no towels no floor mat the head board behind the bed was very dirty seems they had not cleaned since years phone in the room was also not working. in room no. 287B they had kept used comb and bathrobe in room outside lights were also not working. in both the above mentioned rooms t. v. was not working and when informed the reception they sent person to check after 1 hour but he could not solve the issue and later next day morning person came to change the t.v. at the time of check out. I have all the pics and videos supporting my above mentioned things.
3. most important thing they do no give priority to guest privacy. in our room no 288A on the morning of 20september housekeeping staff entered the room without my permission with their master key. the female in that room was changing4. and they just entered without consent. I feel it's not safe to stay with or without family in aamby valley. when we urged to see their senior one Mr. Jimmy was sent he assured us that he will look into the matter and get back to us by the day end but till today no contact is done by him so I think they all at aamby valley are fake and do not stand by their commitment.
4. at the entrance they do sanitization of car they urge us to fill self declaration form all this is show off I feel as the chef who cooks at the restaurant does not wear mask or gloves. and no social distancing is maintained.
thus guys think hundred times before going as u think u r going for holiday or to relax you will end up calling reception and housekeeping whole day to make up defects in your room.
There were multiple cottages and villas, we had chosen Spanish Cottage and staying at 438.
Housekeeing staff prabhat, bharat, devendra and santosh were also very responsive and cooperative
