This is one such nice place for a week end getaway. A huge property spread about 10600 acres, you can easily get lost for a day or two. The rooms are excellent, but needs a little maintenance. The beds are cozy and neat and the sheets are neat and white. The bathroom tiles are worn out a little bit and needs replacements. Hot water is in abundance and the pressure pump works excellently well. Hence you can have a good massage too, when in shower. The food has been of very good quality all the days, and the spread was excellent. No regrets ever, as far as the food was concerned on all the days. Water sports was really good to enjoy for half a day, and the Aqua Bus was an experience. Service was a bit sloppy, but can be improved with a day of motivation, especially the room service. The only regret, but the most depressing factor was that we cannot carry our bottle of liquor inside, and the charges at the City for a 30ml was equal to a bottle of scotch outside. Hence, the charm of enjoying a holiday will be lost to many on all probabilities. This was absolutely not acceptable, atleast to me... However, the overall experience was very pleasant, but for the liquor part.

life's finest abode- and it surely lives upto your expectations and the hype around it...
situated around 25kms from lonavla amidst green valleys and clouds is a beautiful replica of what one wants in a ideal city-peace - lovely scenaries - and above all and most importantly privacy and lovely people..where all you can hear is d chirping of d birds and fresh scent of the green valleys and clouds..
water sports-golf-adventure sports-sswimming pool-a lounge bar-soccer ground-gym-pool tables-squash and a lot of activities to do...

water sports- try d jet ski and surely do kayaking -but only if u have done it before-as what i found- was there were 0 lifeguards or persons who r keeping an eye on your water activities..
ideally-since its expensive- u can divide the time of your water sports between your companions-- like a jet ski costs around 1500rs for 15 mins-if u r 3 people-u cn allot 5 mins for one person or so...

golf- what a luvly golf course they have- surely try spot hitting-u wd fall in luv with it

adventure sports- i didnt do it @aamby valley-bt wd suggest della adventure which is on way-and is a lot better and a lot cheaper

swimming pool-very well maintained with regular water quality check-not to mention d luvly location- the pool is max 5feet deep-and again there were no staff or a lifeguard just in case of a mishap involving a kid or a infant

if u staying in a timber chalet- take d upper room-d view is really great if you either take a chalet near d road or at the top...
d rooms r amazing and equipped with modern neccesities - all rooms r attached with a huge balcony whereby u can sit and either sip your drink or jus relax and enjoy d dusk n dawn of nature..

staff is gd-food is expensive-water is very expensive and so is milk n all...so ideally u shd carry your own food water and all that u can think of that u might need - this is incase u wanna save some of your very hard earned money..u shd carry a hot plate or even a small electronic gas.

i tried d four season and manuwar restaurants out there-four season has a nice italian cuisine except for a pizza-for a pizza u have to order and eat in ur room
manuwar-is a gujrati -marwari restaurant with a thali per personrs 1000..food quality was upto d standard

aamby valley is a place where you have to unwind yourself and be close to nature for which a minimum stay of 2 nights is essential to get a complete feel and look around of this man made heaven created by Sahara group..
however since per day per room is rs 15000 - which is very expensive + expensive avtivities backed by expensive food- an average person would find it way too expensive- imagine staying for 2 days wd cost your family a room cost of 30k+10k for food and minimum activites....
Now here is a FRNDLY TIP if u like u can follow or simply end up paying for a extra night...
d check in time is 12 noon and checkout is 10am-beyond which they charge you for late checkouts....
you simply enjoy ur paid room day do water sports-play golf-roam around-go to d paanwalla opposite lagoon restaurant and have fresh jhalebis-and take a feel of d place...nextday that is your check out day-m sure most of us wanna stay in bed or sit outside or jus be lazy-jus keep ur swimming trunks and a pair of clothes in a handbag or a poly bag-no wasting time on bathing activites-as-once u checkout-U CAN STILL STAY@AMBY VALLEY TILL 8PM, offcourse without d room- hit d swimming pool- take a shower -enjoy ur time relax..if u still have time- go to d golf arena-play a game of spot hitting-and there- u can take a shower-indulge in machine operated complimentary leg massage..and come out fresh....

overall a wonderful man made heaven on earth has been replicated by Mr.Subroto Roy-an he has done his best to maintain such a huge property and offcourse all good things come at a great price..so be smart and enjoy ur trip here

I have visited Aamby Valley City twice in the last 7 years and I must say that there is no place like this in India.

When you drive in to the city from the hustle & bustle of Mumbai or Pune, it feels as if we have come to an entirely new country. The atmosphere, greenery and the cleanliness is to a standard I have never experienced anywhere in India.

The welcome that we received by a group of traditional musicians and dancers was intriguing, not forgetting the red carpet that was placed right from the moment we stepped down from the Aamby Valley Merceded Benz, till we entered the reception of the property.

As we entered the reception area, we were served with a variety of juices. The staff were very well dressed, polite and checked us in quickly.

The room we stayed in was very clean, comfortable and with an amazing view. Since there was so much to do from swimming, squash, table tennis, gym, horse riding, cricket, we stepped out of the room immediately.

I suggest that whoever visits must get a south Indian massage, it was amazing.

Entirely, it was an amazing experience and I would love to go and spend at least a week in Aamby Valley City whenever possible.

Lastly, but definitely not the least, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Miss Pinkey N Bharadwaj for extendending the invitation to me and my family. She made it really special for all of us and we had a wonderful time. Thank you Pinkey!

I was at Amby Valley for my birthday. I had the most memorable experience of my life. Security was amazing. At the time of Arrival there was a traditional welecome. The golf cars were apt for internal travel. The area is kept very clean. The pool area was fantastic.
I was staying in the Timber Challet, it was designed so well. The staff was very humble and courtieous. They went out of their way to arrange a cake and a bouquet of red roses at midnight. The next day we were had our breakfast in Four Seasons where the chef gave a suprise by preparing a small cake for me. They all knew about my birthday and right from the chef to the front office to the SPA managers wished me.
I would like to share my feedback/suggestions -

Firstly there were no slippers offered when i needed to go for steam and sauna after my massage during SPA and the staff was making noise.

Secondly, during breakfast on the first day the there was no sambhar kept during south India buffet breakfast

Thirdly there was no one sent to orient us with the rooms during check in - in terms of the things kept in the rooms , plug points and switches etc.

PROS:
- fountain show was awesome, don't miss that. also ate at the arabic restaurant mabruk which was phenomenal. definitely eat there. the main restaurant which serves buffet breakfast also has good food.
- great views and scenery.
- spa massage was good.

CONS:
- went on a long weekend, it was fully booked, got the cheapest type of room, which was very lame. don't stay in the supreme cottage... nothing supreme about it. and beware of monkeys.
- got lost many times trying to get anywhere or back to our room. takes time to call a car.
- activities are overpriced.
- went to the game room but looked like no-one had visited there in years.
- very crowded on weekends
