Their were many people at the reception yelling because they didn’t get their luggage and they had been waiting for 30 minutes. The driver that drove us around the resort whistled at us to call us back, food was disgusting and cold, the property is very old and dirty. Hotel driver from airport was a heavy smoker. The room service once served us all the vegetables and forgot About the naan (bread) it took them another 15 minutes to bring that over to our room. Often you would have to wait for breakfast at the breakfast place because the entire place would be full.

Aamby valley use to be one of my favourite gateaway from Mumbai for a weekend.Since it was shut down I had to hunt some other properties around Mumbai.I was glad it opened up again and this time they had several choices to stay for .But I was extremely disappointed as service has gone down the drain.we had booked 3 royal suites coz they have made them new and we wanted to try those rooms.I guess they were so worked up with guests around that at check in area (reception) we had to wait for more than an hour. Then finally they managed to give us one room saying others will be provided shortly. We were six of us and one room? we said thats ok .Since they have opened up we understand the teething period.
after giving us one room key for time being they said our escort will take you to the rooms. When we stepped out the reception there was no one so finally we decided to reach that area on our own.Once we reached there they said rooms are not close but far from each other. If we booking 3 rooms together i expected that rooms should be around. We had to wait for some time and were given rooms at around 4 pm that also far.We were tired so decided to setlle.Later in the night we thought of calling for room service but one cant just get thru on phone.Hence had to go to woodpecker ,order ,parcel and get food. Also no service from Royal suites to restaurant.Luckily we had our personal vehicles so we could move around or else you are confined to your rooms and will be starving as rooms service is extrenmely poor.you have to wait for atleast couple of hours to order and get food.
So yes I have given just two stars for service

My stay at Aamby Valley City hotel was by far one of the most memorable experiences - the rooms were very comfortable and the staff went out of their way to ensure a great level of hospitality. From in room dining to restaurant the quality of food was great. Also the overall amenenties - like horse riding for the kids, the spa and pool was just great - and a state of the art Gym wish I had more time to spend there... the weekend was over and the memories remain.

The rooms were beautiful! We stayed in the aussie challets as well as the cabanas...both had different flavours to themselves. The place is calm and so quaint. Absolute privacy and quick room service!the staff is kind and always at your call. The greenery in the property is breathtaking!
Overall..a place to go with friends as well as family..either for a quiet and peaceful detoxifying holiday or some private party fun..amby valley has a stunning impact on the heart and mind:)
