This holiday was a celebration. Of finally being able to meet and get our children together after two long years. We were a group of 10 -- four mothers and 6 children and we really could not have chosen a better place than the Aamby Valley City for our reunion. They made this the perfect holiday for us and yes we will come back, again and again simply because of the way they made us feel and the way they looked after us. So at the outset, not only do I recommend this place wholehearted, I also wish to express our deepest gratitude at their outstanding hospitality.
To begin with, the rooms. We had four rooms in all facing each other. Two on the ground floor and two on the first. Sprawling, comfortable, well-equipped, clean and with the most gorgeous views from the lovely balconies and the most delightful nibbles of cakes, nuts, prunes, fruit laid out. All very thoughtful. The location was also most convenient, what with their pool and restaurant, Woodpecker, both a short stroll away. (Thoroughly recommend the food at Woodpecker. Huge value for money. Their breakfast, lunch and dinner spread easily rivals the best hotels anywhere)
The place is indeed huge. A 'city'with multiple restaurants, activities, leisurely walks, pools including a fabulous wave pool, squeaky clean, which our children frequented almost every day in our 4-day holiday.
We tried almost everything! The water sports, the gaming arcade complete with popcorn and candyfloss and dodge-em cars, the musical water fountain show, the pools, the restaurants, even the spa, everything!
What we did not try, we visited. Horse-riding (they have their own stables), a spectacular golf-course and an ancient, wonderfully maintained temple that makes for a lovely stop-over.
And what actually made the experiences so worthwhile was how every single member of the staff there went out of their way in each of these places, to help us build the perfect holiday.
From the kindess, enthusiasm and impeccable service of Mr Anil Buswala and Mr Yogesh Marathe at the Woodpecker restaurant with its enormous buffet and excellent spread to the outstanding food and service at Mabruk the very authentic Lebenese restaurant (a huge surprise to find such amazing food in the middle of Maharashtra!), the vada pavs, the maggi and heavenly jalebis at Tuk-Tuk their 'fast food' station, the superb pizzas at the Lake Front Cafe (please go there at night, the location of this place is breaktaking!) everyone and everything was, as I have said earlier PERFECT.
A huge shout-out and big dollops of thanks in particular to BK. She was our point person and was helping us coordinate 6 galloping children who were all over the place with transport, activities et al. With the patience of a Zen Buddha and a warm smile always in place BK made this place come alive for us. Nothing was too difficult to organise and no place too far. Thank you BK!

Some helpful tips:
Be prepared to walk! When the 'city' is full of guests as it was when we arrived, the buggies that transport you from one place to another can take a while to come. But come they do!
Be prepared to take the 'wildlife' in your stride! We were advised to keep the doors to our balconies closed as there are monkeys, snakes, lizards, creepy-crawlies around. What makes this place so beautiful is how the management has let the lush foliage and undergrowth be. There are such lovely flowers, trees, greenery around so bugs and insects and their ilk also abound.
Try all the eateries. The sheer choice of food is simply amazing as is the quality!
Bring your own car. It makes moving around and seeing this lovely charming 'city' so much easier.
Finally as you sit back exhausted from all the 'sight-seeing' do take an appointment at the Salon/Spa. Located in a quiet, picturesque spot we mamas had the most delicious foot massages to end our hectic days herding so many children from place to place!
So, taking off from Arnold Schwarzengger famous 'Terminator' tagline, "We'll Be Back" Aamby Valley City!

We visited Aamby Valley during a conference, initial reaction was wow great place, but the place is very hyped up. The city is very scenic but a lot of the facilities were not available for the guests, such as the paragliding, and some restaurants
However the staff were amazing especially the manager in The woodpecker restaurant, and the staff at the salon who were over worked having to deal with large conference party. Management should have laid on more staff to cope with guests demand.
The taxi and buggy drivers were polite and great at ferrying us to and from rooms and venues around the city.
I think with better mange net and more development Aamby Vallet will do better.

I've been to this place many times with my friends and we always had a great time but not because of this place, because we were together. Firstly the cost of everything at this place is not worth the service they provide. Their rooms, food, water sports, salon everything is not worth their prices. It's a beautiful place to visit during monsoon, specially if you are with family or friends. The chalets are good but not worth the price they charge.

If you are looking for paradise on earth, then look no further than this excellent ultra modern majestic landmark in the middle of nowhere, 120 kms from Mumbai nestled in the mountain valley in Lonavalla (2 hours by car from Mumbai) It is spread over 10,000 acres and will cater for all age groups, whether you are looking for adventure or just a quiet tranquil stay as we did at the tail end of monsoon season. We were greeted by Jitendra Purohit the Assistant Manager whose hospitality was worth noting as we found out later during our stay. He went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. The staffs at reception were very informative and professionally trained. We had booked ourselves in the superior deluxe Aussie woodland room which was very spacious and elegant ultra modern room with all 5 star amenities like air condition, minibar, fridge, dining area and tea and coffee making facilities. The resort is huge and transport is provided to access all the areas like adventure sports, water sports t include jet ski, speedboats and water fall safari which was really exciting. The aqua bus we boarded to see most of the attraction was a real experience of a bus gliding over the water way. There is a golf course, town plaza, angling and equestrian facilities, spa and salon. There are many different types of swimming pools and the wet areas have beach volleyball and water sports. This resort really caters for all ages and the various activities are offered. One of the highlightls was the musical fountain of fortune over the lake in the evenings. It is not "Burj Khalifa" calibre but the backdrop of the mountains and valley and low clouds has its own charm. Unfortunately it rained a lot but it had its own charm. The woodpecker restaurant was excellent with good indian cuisine and the staff were very friendly and obliging especially Joginder the captain. We will certainly return in better weather to enjoy this paradise. We have been to many Centre parks in Europe but this place beats them all for style, comfort and "wow" factor.
