Clean and well maintained hotel. Located within walking distance to several great restaurants, bars and Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
We stayed here while attending a concert and were not disappointed. There is valet parking only but you may ask for your car any time of the day or night. Nice breakfast included in our stay.

The staff was outstanding. They took care of every concern. BUT...the building is old, was undergoing repairs, had no bar/lounge or other gathering place for guests. I wasn't all that convenient to the convention center. Elevator doors closed way to rapidly. Valet only parking was very costly but the service was quick and polite.

Dear Paul L, Thank you for your kind comments regarding the outstanding service you received at the Hampton Inn Downtown, Indianapolis. Should your travels bring you back to Indy, please stay again so that you can see first-hand the finished results of our renovation transformation. Scheduled for completion in mid-August, our upgrades include a modern make over in the lobby, and 2nd Floor dining area, both of which should provide the perfect place to gather with your colleagues to talk business or just unwind in front of one of our many HDTV flat screens. You might also enjoy visiting the bar next door at Lorenzo’s fine dining restaurant; it’s actually connected to our hotel, making it super convenient. Thanks again for your feedback. We sincerely appreciate your business!

The room could have been cleaner (there was a whiskey bottle on the window sill and the bathroom wasn’t very clean), the room had lots of road noise and party noise on the weekend, and road noise on weeknights that we weren’t told about until we checked in, the AC was also extremely loud, and the bathroom door wouldn’t close and stuck. There were only 3 small drawers in the whole room to put clothes. There was plenty of room for a chest of some kind. I asked for extra hangers and the person who checked me in said they didn’t have hangers! She said people usually only stay 1 or 2 nights so they don’t need many hangers. (We were supposed to be staying 9 nights but only ended up staying 4 because our granddaughter’s surgery was canceled. ) I guess they don’t like people staying too long. We did get some more hangers that night and then more were delivered the next day so I guess they did have hangers! This woman was the only rude employee we encountered. Everyone else was very pleasant and nice, especially the breakfast ladies. The shower was good. The breakfast was good. The ladies served us and menu was limited but much better than the grab and go. Location is great. Parking is $30 a night but we didn’t have a car. The loading and unloading area was not great and it was difficult to determine the front entrance.

I will be on a motorcycle, so can self park? Price foe parking? Thanks

Parking was $28 dollars a day. There was self parking in other garages, but I’m not sure of prices. I know the Circle Centre has parking but I’m not sure if you can park their overnight. I believe that price was $10 dollars max. Call tha Hampton and ask if parking is cheaper elsewhere?

Is the valet parking close to the hotel and is there security?

Hello: It seems they have two or three lots, one directly beside the hotel, at least one a block away. Both open air, not really secure, just normal outside lots. We had no problems. Fees were probably $27/28.00 per day , a bit steep. Hope this helps. John

Hello: The hotel main entrance, is on Maryland St, Meridian St is the side entrance. When you arrive be prepared to unload all your luggage, etc on to a dolly/cart. The valet will take your car away, apparently they have more than one lot. Note they are outdoors , uncovered. If I recall the fee is $25.00 per day, seems high but all other local hotels are the same or higher. There is a parkade, half a block towards the monument on Meridian St, rates unknown, in and outs would add up. Hotel is nevertheless quite delightful. Hotels one block closer to the Indiana Convention Center, all seem to be connected by enclosed Skywalks. We ate well at Ram , and Granite City, St Elmos rumored as overpriced, tried to make reservations there two years in a row, aloof, independent, consequently we saved a lot of money. Hope this helps. Cheers. John.

They have a $20.00 a day valet parking fee. It is off site just a little ways from the hotel, but the valet person is so helpful with directions, places to eat, where to shop and how to get around downtown Indianapolis.
