Thank you so much for staying here with us while in the downtown Indianapolis. We loved having you. I am so glad to hear you fond our location ideal for your needs. Everyone of our team members are passionate about providing a great stay and I am so glad that you did have one. I am so sorry you found the Valet cumbersome. With parking downtown sometimes hard to come by and expensive when their are events, we are just trying to park your car so that you can walk everywhere you need to go. You do not have to park in the valet and they will be happy to point you in the right direction to self-parking off of our property. Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know about your experience! We will see you next time you are in town!

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

I had the worst experience ever!

I recently stayed there and the hotel elevators were so slow that I could take the stairs quicker. (Not a deal breaker, but when paying for a hotel I expect things to work properly, I mean that is what I am paying for, correct?)

That isn’t even the tip of the iceberg.... valet parking wrecked my vehicle! And I mean WRECKED!

First off they don’t even inspect your vehicle with you before and after you check out. I checked but my mistake is not having them there right beside me. So when I did notice the damage they advised I had to go through the damage claim department. After a month of waiting, arguing, and multiple phone calls, I have to replace my whole rear bumper. They state that I signed off on the valet ticket that they had circled previous damage to bumper, which I never saw. This is fraud! They are nothing but liars trying to get out of paying money for their mistakes!

My bumper was damaged so bad that it cracked! Not to mention the huge scrape and 5 inch paint chip!

Even after this has happened I called to request in the future, to save everyone else time and hassle, that they improve their operations. I was pretty much ignored.

I would not recommend anyone ever spend a penny of their hard earned money here! Just because it is close to downtown events it is not wort it! Trust me.

With very limited parking downtown, this was great for being within walking distance to The Circle, as well as several great restaurants. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly, and the complimentary breakfast was better than average. You must use the valet parking, which is $20 per night's stay.

In the past, when my husband and I came to Indianapolis on family business, we stayed at the Hampton Inn on Meridian Street in Carmel. It's a well run property that affords easy access to where we need to go. This time, we decided to stay downtown and attempt to blend business with some pleasure. We certainly made the right decision. The Hampton Inn Downtown is in a historic building that has been renovated for comfort, but has kept much of it's charm. The desk staff, including Kyle who checked us in, was friendly and efficient. Our room was a two bedroom suite in the corner of the building, and proved to be perfect. The rooms were large and nicely appointed with windows looking out over the skyline in two directions. Our bathroom was huge for a city hotel. The room was exceptionally clean and the bed very comfortable. Upon arrival we learned that the Bands of America high school marching band competition was being held that weekend and bands would be in residence at the hotel. We were amazed that we were never disturbed by noise of any kind. Breakfast is served is a large lounge on the second floor. It is large enough to seat a crowd, but the columns around the room not only break the room into smaller appearing spaces but also absorbs the sound, making breakfast a pleasant experience. We were dismayed at first to learn that all parking is valet, as we aren't normally fans of valet parking. Jeff and Bart, two of our valets were so professional and friendly that we enjoyed seeing them and felt at ease leaving them with our car. Outside of the hotel, you have the entire downtown array of stores, museums, and restaurants within a few blocks. We enjoyed our stay so much that today I made reservations for our next trip to Indianapolis in February.

This Hampton was very nice - comfortable beds and clean. The breakfast is always a nice addition. It was a convenient location for the event I was attending. You have to do valet parking, which is an added expense. I would stay here again depending on hotel price search.

Is the valet parking close to the hotel and is there security?

Hello: It seems they have two or three lots, one directly beside the hotel, at least one a block away. Both open air, not really secure, just normal outside lots. We had no problems. Fees were probably $27/28.00 per day , a bit steep. Hope this helps. John

Hello: The hotel main entrance, is on Maryland St, Meridian St is the side entrance. When you arrive be prepared to unload all your luggage, etc on to a dolly/cart. The valet will take your car away, apparently they have more than one lot. Note they are outdoors , uncovered. If I recall the fee is $25.00 per day, seems high but all other local hotels are the same or higher. There is a parkade, half a block towards the monument on Meridian St, rates unknown, in and outs would add up. Hotel is nevertheless quite delightful. Hotels one block closer to the Indiana Convention Center, all seem to be connected by enclosed Skywalks. We ate well at Ram , and Granite City, St Elmos rumored as overpriced, tried to make reservations there two years in a row, aloof, independent, consequently we saved a lot of money. Hope this helps. Cheers. John.
