The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, shower pressure was good and it was in a good, safe location. Details that are important for me. There is a small fridge in the room and a K-cup style coffee maker, faux wood flooring, no carpeting in our rooms.
There are many good restaurants in the immediate area that are worth trying. Carmel by the Sea is a short drive away if you prefer eating in that area. The restaurant in the Carmel Mission Inn is very good if you don’t feel like leaving. It opens at 7:00am, they serve a delicious breakfast (not complimentary). We noticed that they have a very nice outdoor pool area that I’m sure would be great if you are traveling at a different time of year.
It was a very safe and comfortable stay and reasonably priced too. Highly recommend Carmel Mission Inn!

We are regulars here as they are pet friendly and the Carmel beach is pet friendly as well as an area behind the shops next to the hotel. Everything at the place was closed due to remodeling and as usual during this time of the year the weather was overcast much of the time so the pool was not our choice to do. Also when in Carmel why spend time at the pool? No daily maid service, but really does one need it daily for a two night stay? Not really. One could get extra towels if needed. Had a little internet connectivity issue but not a deal breaker. The limited staff we encountered as usual were accommodating and friendly. We will continue to frequent this place.

Our family of four stayed here for several nights on our CA road trip. The property was beautiful and the staff at the front desk were extremely kind and considerate. I was initially disappointed that it wasn’t a walkable location to Carmel, but it turned out to be an easy drive to there and all other towns isn’t he area. Although it was cool during our stay, the kids loved the warm pool.

What a charming hotel. Decor is delightful. Room was clean and spacious overlooking the pool. Staff couldn’t be nicer and food in the restaurant was delicious. Great location near carmel by the sea and Monterey. Only a couple of hours from
San Francisco.
