Overall we enjoyed the entire trip, however the focal point for us was going to Monterrey and getting to spend 2 hours there as advertised—which was cut to 1.5 hours by the driver—we barely finished our lunch before having to sprint back to the bus! That was very disappointing as we based our time on having 2 hours there to eat plus browse the shops. Note: the driver also made a few misstatements along the way. Otherwise, the trip was good and scenic.
Our family had a wonderful tour (our first) with Bonnie, who was engaging, funny, and informative. While all four of us were adults, there were several young children on the tour, and Bonnie was terrific with them, managing to keep them engaged throughout the tour. There was a good variety of restaurants and types of food, and we learned a lot of interesting facts about Carmel.
Overall, a very nice experience. The cottages were totally charming! We are locals and it was something different to do in Carmel. When we had to cross Ocean Avenue, it was a little dangerous because there was no crosswalk. There should be a warning that some parts of the walk are steep. People not in shape shouldn’t attempt this tour. The guide was really helpful and warned if you went the wrong way. Those in decent shape should try it once!
We’ve been to Carmel many times so decided it was time to learn the history and we had a lovely afternoon with our guide Monica. Her stories and back alley walks were so interesting! Highly recommend this tour. She also is the author of the Carmel history book so you can trust she knows what she’s talking about.
Views were just beautiful pedaling through the hills of Carmel on E Bikes that made the experience an easy ride! Enjoyed the history. Thank you, will be back!
Our group of three had an amazing time and learned so much! Sheryl led us with patience. She was hands on, but let us do every step ourselves. We had tried making macarons before and we learned we were doing it all wrong! I can't wait to implement all of her techniques. We each went home with 12 beautiful and delicious macarons. Highly recommend this experience!
Toby was an amazing tour guide and a blast to hang out with. Very knowledgeable about the area and about wine. He recommended some amazing restaurants and local haunts. Especially enjoyed his historical knowledge of the town. Highly recommend! Do this tour if you find yourself in Carmel by the Sea! Super fun!
Leslie was an amazing guide and customized our adventure to exactly what we wanted to see. We learned so much about the adorable town and got to see all of its beauty! Highly recommend!
This was a cool little audio tour. We enjoyed driving down the coast and having fun facts pointed out along the way. It was especially useful to have tips on where to stop and take short hikes. My dad, his girlfriend and I all enjoyed the tour.
This was a great tour. Steve was both personable and knowledgeable. He shared his love for the Carmel/Monterey area and took us to three great wine tasting rooms. We had a blast riding around in his VW Bus and enjoyed learning about the region and the wine in the area. I would highly recommend this tour, the four of us had a great time.
Nice artsy town with souveniour shops , chocholate garden and a unique experience.Alot of tourists there. We did the 17 mile drive followed by late seafood in the city . Recommended.
The scenery on this hike was undeniable, but our guide, Monica, was the true gem, sharing information as a true storyteller, with poignancy and flourish. We would have followed her anywhere, and we now have a memory that is human, humane, as well as pictorial. We highly recommend this tour for everyone.
This tour is the best way to see all that Monterey, Carmel, and the 17 MILE DRIVE have to offer. Carlos was an excellent and amazing guide, and Ben was so helpful in our pre planning discussions. Time was allowed to have lunch at Fisherman's Warf. Great experience with California Pacific Excursions,
