Write a reviewI hosted my company's annual winter sales meeting at the Carmel Mission Inn this week. Antia, head of sales was instrumental in the planning process. She was great at communicating with me regularly to ensure everything was set up. We did have a few hurdles over the course of our time there (not at the fault of the hotel) and she went above and beyond to fix any issues that occurred. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the staff was positive and helpful. The food was also good, some items better than others. Highly recommend the oysters and burger for dinner, and the omelette for breakfast. The bar is stocked with great alcohol and the bartender severed a variety of delicious cocktails. This venue is perfect for a weekend getaway or a corporate event. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

We had no expectations but even that was shattered. When you first walk into the hotel it feels light, modern and inviting. But once we spent 24 hrs there all of that went away.
Our room was above the laundry room. We could hear washers and dries going on without an end. We shared the wall with an employee room only (assuming storage) and endless opening and closing of the door with squeaking sounds and loud bangs.
Room to the left had barking dog.
Our window looked out to the parking lot and we had no privacy. Loud noises and music from the restaurant/bar across the street kept us awake late onto the night.
Tried calling restaurant three times to order in room breakfast and went to voicemail every time. No one called back for our order.
Only one coffee pod for in room coffee.
Shampoo, conditioner, lotion and soap smell like rosemary and oak which is great if you are a man and like smelling like a lumber Jack.
If this was $150 per night hotel I would have no complaints. But for $398 per night that we paid this is beyond unacceptable. I will be filing on official complaint with the hotel staff as well.

We came for a last minute 4th of July visit. We are local to the Bay Area. This hotel has been updated and is super cute. If you’re reading reviews make sure to read recent ones as they did a great job with the remodel here. It is like an old roadside motel that was turned cute.
Pros-
-rooms are updated
-electric car charging (get them early. There are only 3). But they do have them.
-pool and hot tub
-ice machine and water machines for your hiking jugs.
-couple of really cute lounge areas with fire pits
-near grocery store and other places
-super friendly and helpful staff
-they have everything you need if you ask.
Cons-
-not in the downtown area. But it honestly didn’t bother us.
-bed is stiff and slightly uncomfortable
Overall we had a really great stay here and would recommend it. It’s clean, it’s cute and they’re friendly.

I arrived after a 7 hour drive to check in with a very blase receptionist. My reservation had indicated a "dog friendly" room and she said there would be a 100.00 charge for pets. I mentioned that my reservation had indicated 50.00 and she said, "they would honor that." Thanks for honoring what I reserved your website!
My room was a dismal motel room facing an ongoing bar/wedding venue. Parking was limited due to the wedding guests using the lot. If I'm charged for parking on my bill, I'm going to refute the charge as the parking was extremely limited. After arriving, I called the office to see if I could get a room away from the blaring DJ, but the receptionist said no other rooms were available. She noted that the music could only continue until 11:00 and then we could alert the police for noise violation. Awesome! Just the experience I was hoping for.
The room was okay, but had the tired air of a updated Best Western. The walls are so thin, I could hear my neighbors dogs and voices all night. For the price I paid, I recognize a gouge. Skip this place if possible and pay the price of a better hotel in Carmel. This isn't one of them.

Carmel Mission Inn did a good job on its major renovation that was recently completed.Rooms are modern and comfortable, hotel was very clean and staff was friendly. The bar/restaurant was pleasant and had a short but interesting menu. Rates were a bit too pricy for its location. It is on the crossroad of highway one and the road that leads to Carmel Valley. Would gladly return, especially if rates are better.
