Ok, first things first. I know many have been (and still are) looking for that next career adventure. For those who have been in the market for a few decades, we look back on those halcyon days of multiple “please pick us” offers with fondness and a lil’ longing because, well, today? Yeah, that’s not the experience most of us are having. It’s more of a hurry up n’ wait moment for a lot of seriously talented, badass, experienced and eager jobseekers. Not quite as fun. That being said, after what has turned out to be an absolutely amazing, near year-long respite (give or take a few small gigs), I’m really happy to share that I’m (re)joining Publicis Sapient as part of their Healthcare, Experience & Innovation leadership teams. (Kinda crazy. Back in 1997, I was part of Studio Archetype, the first company Sapient ever acquired.) I’m totally psyched. Like goofy, first day of school, psyched. The fact that former frogs, Abby Godee and Teaque Lenahan and J F Grossen and Joe Fletcher (and maybe more) are here just adds to the fun. Big shout out to Abby Godee for hiring me on TWICE now. ; ) So, that’s my news! I think what I’d like to stress is that, if you are in search mode, know that it will come. It will. It’s taking longer than we might like, but the work and the roles are there. Just gotta be patient and tenacious. And, if your sitch allows for it, enjoy the time you have to be open and exploratory. The gigs will come but these pockets of “leisure” are likely few and far between. Soak it up. As my Mom would say, “go ahead and have a good day, since you haven’t made other plans.” I hope you all are well and trekking the trails that make you happy. Much love. Linds

Fun news: I’m excited to share that I started last week as a Managing Partner in the Travel & Hospitality industry vertical of Publicis Sapient! Acting as an Executive Client Partner, I will be accountable for some of the firm’s largest clients, and collaborating with amazing folks in leading growth and transformation programs. Many of you know I’m passionate about meaningful and profitable innovation. This role will certainly embrace that passion by integrating Publicis Sapient’s strategy, product, experience, engineering, and data/AI capabilities (known collectively by the cheeky but handy acronym, SPEED). I couldn’t work any other way. After exploring many potential options — going industry-side again, bringing a human-centered growth capability to private equity, launching a startup, or even being stridently independent — Publicis Sapient felt like the right blend of smart folks, a challenger mindset, and an innovative culture where I would thrive. Many thanks to the friends and colleagues who’ve lent their perspective as I explored, very notably Sapient colleagues like Abby Godee and J F Grossen (also ex-frogs), Eldridge Doubleday (also ex-Fjord), longtime friend Todd Cherkasky, Ph.D., and Jagdish Ghanshani. That's a wrap of CES 2024! Over the last few days, the sense has been, on the most part, excitement.
