wasn't sure i liked the position of these apartments when we arrived about 9pm on the first night. as it looked to be in a very residential area. However after a quick shower and change of clothes we went out to eat and found lots of little bars serving tapas. just what we wanted. and of course we saw the sagrada familia all lit up. it was lovely. we had a two bed, two bathroom apartment just for the 2 of us, it also had a sitting room and kitchen complete with dishwasher and washing machine! there was a microwave, fridge, hob and kettle as well as the coffe machine for which you purchased the pods in reception. however being a tea drinker, we purchased some teabags and milk in the local supermarket, and we bought fresh croissants from there every morning for breakfast. the apartments are very well furnished, modern and clean. and the staff on reception are brilliant. they can help you with just about anything. the wifi was good. 2 mins walk from the apartments and you were on the metro. also the hop on hop off tour buses stop was here for the sagrada familia. we had prebooked a taxi from the airport which took about 25mins. which i think is the best way to get to these apartments.I would not recommend driving in barcelona, its mad, and there is a lack of parking spaces. you will not be disappointed if you stay in these apartmnents. forgot to mention that there is aircon in the bedroom and a hairdryer in the bathroom.

This was a nice hotel- As we were travelling with a family of five (three young children); finding a hotel in Barcelona for a reasonable price and that would accommodate all in one room was very difficult. Actually impossible- (as the pricing I found to be substantial). I booked online through a third party for five, however- this wasn't clear on the receipt and the hotel staff found this to be a problem. After an international phone call, and communication with all involved (and after two attempts from caller to hotel staff- when is was convenient for the hotel to talk with them) all was resolved. The process didn't sit well with me and I was made to feel like I had committed a crime. The room itself was comfortable and spacious, 'lived in'. The view was a terrace of apartment backs. Nice balcony. Very accessible to metro and La Sagrada Familia. Out of the way for most touristy things. Wouldn't go back.

Nicely located, clean, modern, comfortably appointed, and quiet hotel just a few minutes walk from Sagrada Familia. Our apartment enjoyed a view of the Sagrada Familia spires from the balcony and had 2 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. Although we did not cook as we enjoyed the splendid restaurants the kitchen should have had more cooking utensils and equipment. The service was friendly and helpful with dining recommendations and directions.
Would suggest they put a second TV in the main bedroom and add enough cooking utensils and equipment to prepare a simple meal.
I would stay here again.

Clean, efficient apartment/hotel, in convenient location 2 blocks from Sagrada Famiglia and metro station. Rooms are on the small side and decor is pretty generic. But, this is to be expected given the incredible value in their price point. We requested and had a terrace overlooking the nice active street. The location is in a very nice walkable neighborhood, but it is a longer than comfortable walk to most of the other city attractions -- you will end up using the (very convenient) metro and bus system a lot. A supermarket is conveniently located right around the corner. The maid service is very basic -- essentially they just make the bed. So, don't be surprised that they don't clean the kitchen.

If you want an apartment experience, with the comfort of having access to a 24 hour front desk like a hotel, at an extremely affordable price, this is an excellent choice.

Stayed in a beautiful apartment for 3 nights with my daughters for a 'girlie' break. Perfect location for Sagrada Familia, the hop on hop off bus stop close by and a lovely walk down to the beach and the many bars/restaurants. The apartment had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, open plan kitchen/dining/lounge with a great balcony at the front of the building - great for people watching! Facilities in the apartment are excellent - everything you need and kept so clean and fresh by the attentive staff. Only problem is you do not spend too much time indoors as there is so much to do in Barcelona! Staff directed us to a perfect little local bar/restaurant just around the corner where we had the most delicious tapas, wine, coffee etc and it was so reasonable! Barcelona never fails to amaze me - every time I go I find something else - another little gem. Did the Wine Tour this time and it was amazing a really interesting day out well worth the money. Hope to go back top Barcelona before the end of October - love the place!

We stayed here for 5 nights to celebrate my wife's birthday. It follows the concept of serviced apartments and provides home comforts not available in a hotel. We had asked for an apartment with a "walk in" shower and they had very kindly provided us with a two bedroom apartment with two bathrooms - one of which had a walk in shower.

The apartment was clean, the beds comfortable and the daily maid service very efficient. With two bedrooms and a sitting room there is plenty of space for a couple and even two couples would find it adequate. The kitchen is small has the basic requirements though some of the fittings are showing their age. Cooking a full meal could be a bit of a struggle. Remember to take dish washer tablets, washing powder etc with you as these are not supplied and the maids do not wash your soiled dishes (4 euros gives you a cleaning kit that has just one dishwasher tablet!).

Breakfast was included in our deal and it is delivered to your room in the morning. Choose the Continental breakfast if like us you could not face a packaged cheese and ham sandwich first thing in the morning.

The location is excellent, stones throw from the Sagrada Familia, walking distance to the Metro station and on the tourist bus route. Short tube journey to the centre of town and being in a residential area has plenty of shops and cafes close by.

We had one meal in the restaurant which was excellent and though pricey was well worth it. Most evenings we ate at the Aitor tapas bar which is just a block away and provides some of the best tapas we have eaten at a very reasonable price -15 euros and you can eat as many tapas as you can manage.

The staff at reception were excellent - helpful, polite and very well informed about the places to visit etc.

But: ---

Noise is a problem, not from the street but from adjacent apartments. For light sleepers transmitted sounds from neighbours can be a major issue, wooden floors and running children are a deadly combination. The staff did offer us other rooms but not sure this would have solved the problem - apart from perhaps the fifth floor which unfortunately did not have a walk in shower which for us was essential.

We had a late evening flight and asked if we could have a "late" check out. We were told that this may be possible at a price - then were told by the manager that the cost would be 200 euros for a 6 hours or 80 euros for 2 hours which to us seemed by all accounts a trifle extortionate!! It was the F1 Grand Prix weekend and that we were told was the going rate. Having been at the hotel for 5 nights already it did seem that the management were unwilling to be accommodating - I would rather have been told they were likely to be full and so could not give us a late check out. After an enjoyable stay we were left with a bitter taste in our mouth and felt we were being taken advantage of.

We stayed at Hispanos 7 Suiza in the middle of January, great location very close to the Sagrada Familia and Metro stops and very easy to find. The two bedroom and two bathroom arrangement was great with two teenagers and two adults and ensured that when we came back from a busy day sightseeing we had plenty of room to relax especially with a lounge, dining area and well equipped kitchen (you will need to bring a tea towel and dishcloth if you think you might need it all other linen and towels were provided and there was even some washing up liquid). Our apartment was at the back of the building so we didn't have the view of the Sagrada however with a spacious balcony we could sit outsdide and enjoy the ambience of the surrounding buildings.

With regards to other people's comments about the noise I found that you could hear neighbours in their adjoining lounge if they were particularly loud however the bedrooms were very quiet (you could hear the lifts from one of the rooms but only just and this only tended to be in the morning anyway).
There was a fantastic supermarket and bakers just around the corner so it is easy to self cater if you want to and there are restaurants locally as well. It is slightly off the beaten track however the Metro system is superb so it is easy to travel around, I would definitely recommend buying a T10 ticket very convenient and affordable.
Highlights of the trip were the La Bouqueria market, Casa Batllo, Sagrada Familia, the son et lumiere show at the Magic Fountain and loads of other things - the fantastic weather certainly helped make our stay very enjoyable.
I would highly recommend the Hispanos apartments for location, comfort and helpfulness of staff with directions and looking after our bags on the last day.

Bottom line: Loved this place, exceeded my expectations for the price. Would definitely recommend to everyone!

I went to Barcelona with my parents and brother for one night and this hotel was great, especially for a group with more than 2 people. It had a large living room and kitchen, 2 bedrooms that were across the apartment from each other (1 with a queen or king and one with two twin beds) and 2 full bathrooms and free wi-fi! All for only 160 euros. We booked this rate directly through the hotel site. I wish we could have stayed more than one night, but we were on our way to Alcossebre (towards Valencia). Definitely the perfect place for families or two couples looking to stay in a great place for a great price.

Pros:
- Space! Huge kitchen with washer/dryer, dishwasher, all kitchen amenities you need. 2 full bathrooms made getting ready in the morning a lot easier - 1 had a tub and one had a standing shower. 2 large bedrooms that are separated across the apartment (if you've ever shared a wall with a roomie in an apartment you'll know this is a great and rare thing) Large living room / dining area with full couch and full kitchen table. Balcony was great add on to the space and beautiful spot for morning coffee
- Modern with hardwood floors, new bathrooms, etc.
- Free wi-fi.
- Good Service - the staff helped us get a around and stored our luggage
- Balcony with views of Sagrada Familia! (Architectural gem by Gaudi)
- Location - not on La Rambla or in gothic quarter, but safe neighbourhood with lots of shops and restaurants, very close to the Metro. A couple of grocery stores within a few blocks - just ask at the desk!

Cons:
- A little hard to find. We had never been to Barcelona before and the street signs are virtually non-existent or hard to find in some areas. We walked from the Metro and had trouble due to street names changing in mid street and confusing us a bit and the hotel sign wasn't too noticeable. Would recommend calling ahead and getting clear 'turn right turn left' type directions
- A couple of small maintenance issues, but minor. Shower head in main bathroom didn't stay up. If we had stayed more than 1 night we would have asked them to fix it, but we just used the other shower. Window in 2nd bathroom was broken.
- Beds are pretty firm - didn't bother us, but it might not work out for you.

When looking for Barcelona accommodations it was hard to find an affordable option for 4 people. (Most of Europe has rooms for only 2 or occasionally 3 people). We were going to get 2 rooms and hoping to do so for around 100 euros a night, but knew that the place wouldn't be that great at that price. Instead we got to stay at Hispanos 7 suiza for less money and in a beautiful place in a good location.

Note: it's not right in the Gothic Quarter or right on La Rambla, but the money you save makes it easy to walk or use the metro to get to these more central areas. We did actually walk into the centre of the city via the shopping on Passeig de Gracia and then over to the gothic area and la rambla and eventually to the water. But we took the Metro back because by then we were all exhausted from the walking. So if you're ok walking a fair bit or taking the Metro the location will work great for you.

Tip - get a T10 metro card - it can be used by multiple people and makes using the metro super cheap!

A couple of photos coming soon...

This small boutique hotel offers apartment style rooms with small kitchenettes. It was clean and spacious, and looks as if it has been recently renovated. It is located on a quiet resedential street less than one block from Gaudi's Sagrada Familia Chapel. The staff spoke English and were very knowledgeable and helpful.

My husband and I recently returned from our stay at the Hispanos 7 Suiza and were very pleased with the accomodations. The location is very convenient to the Sagrada Familia and a tourist bus stop. The staff were very helpful and easily conversed in English. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. I had read that noise can be a problem in Barcelona but I found our room to be quiet. Having a comfortable room to return to each day added to the enjoyment of our trip.

The kitchen was well equipped with supplies. We cooked while there but mostly for breakfast (eggs and such) so really just needed the most basic cutlery. If I recall, spices (i.e. Salt, pepper and sugar) were not included so keep this in mind.

I called a car service which was twice as expensive as a taxi. Just get a taxi at the airport!
