I do not understand the excellent reviews others have given. The apartment is small and lacks basic amenities (coffee, tea, sugar, milk). The second bedroom looks onto an internal well, with lights all night and noise from the lift. It was very difficult to get the air temperature right, and with the window open the noise and light made sleeping difficult. But the worst feature was the total lack of hot water in either bathroom - showering in tepid water is unpleasant when it is cool anyway; we asked for it to be fixed every day, but it just got worse! On the last day it was impossible to get even tepid water. Our complaint to management was rejected on the basis that it was a "punctual problem", whatever that may mean. The restaurant food was mediocre. My last night in Barcelona I stayed at the Gran Torre de Catalunya - cheaper, bigger room, marvellous views, everything worked well, and a kettle with tea, coffee etc. I would not recommend the Hispanos 7 Suiza to anyone.

Unfortunately we have to admit that this opinion regarding to the hot water issue is correct. During Easter time one of our water tanks stopped working to be very difficult to supply the entire hotel. For this reason some of the apartments had problems getting hot water; and also because of the dates (holidays) we were unable to solve the problem immediately because the technicians did not find the machinery parts they needed. Hot water is a basic necessity, but the situation faced was an exception and it had reached a point which was beyond our control. I personally apologised several times to our customers and try to compensate in some way the situation but our offer seemed not to be enough. We really regret that incident and would have preferred the situation to be different but due to the holiday period it became unable to solve it as soon as we would have liked.
