My sister and I visited the beautiful La Cava Cakery at Christmas. The exterior of the cafe is just as beautiful as the interior, lots of people are gazing in through the window at the mouth watering cupcakes and admiring the decorations. The waiter, Hector was so helpful and helped us to chose the right Cava to match our cupcakes. The cupcakes are SO fresh and soft, you will be tempted to have more than one if you have a sweet tooth and taste for the finer things in life!! The cafe is impeccable, and Hector even took some pictures of us which was so nice of him! This is a must visit for anyone visiting Barcelona, you can have cupcakes, cava, coffee, and even take a box of cupcakes home for your friends and family. We will certainly be back!! :-) xx

Due to the current COVID situation, my daughter wasn't able to fly home for her usual August visit, which meant she'd be celebrating her birthday in Barcelona. I was so happy to find La Cava Cakery (Cava and Cupcakes - this is my dream!). I had a few hiccups in ordering, but the staff answered my questions immediately via their Facebook page and everything went smoothly. I didn't realize I had placed the order to be delivered the same day, so I was surprised when my daughter called to show me what arrived at her door - literally minutes after I completed the order. The pink box with cupcakes was lovely, and pink cava that I ordered to go with the cupcakes was chilled when it arrived. She was so happy with the surprise and couldn't stop smiling. Thanks, La Cava Cakery, for giving this mama the opportunity to deliver a little cake and bubbly to my girl. I can't wait to stop in when I can travel again to beautiful Barcelona!

This is a delightful establishment serving CAVA, rose and white, scientifically and taste tested pairings with cupcakes! There's great coffee too!
The wonderful staff, includes the owners many times, are attentive, knowledgeable and always ready to introduce you to the cupcakes and the CAVA pairings. The cupcakes are delicious...not too sweet, moist and there's never time for crumbs.
No time to stay? Take away. Packaged with politeness and you are ready to go!

We spotted this gem just before the metro. The cupcakes looked lovely and when we entered the shop, we were met by friendly faces who couldn’t have been more helpful.
We availed of the cupcake and cava offer and wow was the cava good. I had the pink cava and red velvet cupcake, while my boyfriend had the white cava and vanilla chocolate cupcake.
The cava-cupcake mix is such a good idea, and I really enjoyed the whole experience. The shop too is very beautiful, which all adds to the ambient.
We will be back again!

I regularly pass the cake shop and have always wanted to try because it looks so pretty. I visited for a quick coffee and cake with my mum, and we loved it. There are just a couple of tables inside but it is beautifully decorated and the cakes came served on a cute little plate with real teaspoons (no plastic!).
The best thing, though, was the personal service from the owner - thank you!
100% recommend. Especially the carrot cake and red velvet cupcakes!

Brilliant place for a celebration mine was a beautiful birthday party for 9 girlfriends the hosts are fabulous.
They explain the concept of eating cupcakes and drinking a locally sourced cava and play your favourite music as you eat and drink. 100% recommended x. Thank you for my special visit.

La Cava Cakery excels, again and again, each and every time. Although I live thousands of miles away, they're always there for us when we want to treat family and friends to their peerless delicacies. Their cupcakes are delicious, light, perfect, with so many tempting versions that it becomes difficult to choose between red velvet, raspberry, salted caramel, Oreo, and so on. And their service is just peerless. Their delivery service is precise and infallible, combining genuine warmth with absolute professionalism. I cannot praise them enough. And I strongly recomend them to everyone in Barcelona - their Eixample location is a paradise for cupcake (and cava) lovers.

I Have wanted to visit La Cava Cakery ever since I saw their Instagram page showcasing their unique pairings of cupcakes and cava. They have a gold and a pink pairing menu - my absolute favourite was salted caramel cupcake which pairs with their pink cava. I was so impressed that is was their own cava they created. The interior and energy in this family run shop was an experience in itself - I couldn’t resist buying a few boxes of cupcakes to bring to family and friends at home, I got one personalised for my friends birthday with ribbon and a happy birthday tag. Will definitely be back soon!!

We love La Cava Cakery and frequently take them to friends or just grab a few for a special dessert at home. Aisling's shop is adorable and a great place to meet up with friends for a dessert and then stroll on San Juan. Highly recommended. Our favorite cupcakes in Barcelona!

Love this gorgeous place that has the best cupcakes I've ever tasted, with really interesting flavours - salted caramel is a favourite in our house, as is the red velvet. The cava is so delicious as well and I'd never thought to pair it with cupcakes before coming here, but it definitely works. It's my go-to place for a sweet treat.

These were some of the best cupcakes we’ve ever had!! The cava was also lovely for the hot day. We had one lemon (paired with normal cava) and one salted caramel (paired with the rose cava) and they were absolutely delectable! Been wanting to try this place for years, and it did not disappoint. Can’t wait to come back!!

I tried this place two years ago since my daughter wanted some cupcakes. Felt in love with the smoothness and fresh taste of the cupcakes. I never loved them while I was living in the States since they were always too sweet and heavy. And one day I tried La Cava Cakery and became the number one fan! Not only for the amazing combination of flavors but also for the warm and caring service of owners and employees! And yes! The owners work as hard as they employees which tells a lot about the love put it in each cupcake and the efforts to make this place a boutique store 🥂
Absolutely recommendable!
You just can’t miss this place!

Absolutely unique and lovely experience. The pairing of a beautiful Cava with fresh baked cupcakes was an excellent experience. Definitely worth making the few extra steps when on Av. Diagonal or visiting Sagrada Familia

Absolutely blown away by this cava and cupcake shop! Celebrated a birthday here with a group of girls and it was the highlight of the holiday. The cupcakes melt in your mouth and the cava selection was top notch too. Aisling (the owner) really went above and beyond for us. Whether it's a celebration or just a craving for something sweet, this place is a must visit 🥂 🧁
