Detailed Reviews
Stayed here woth my partner for five nights on a vacation to Barcelona. It comes highly recommended.
The staff in this hotel are very friendly and helpful - cannot praise them enough!
It is fairly central, maybe 1 miles out of the very centre, and it's near a Metro station, so travelling around is easy enough.
I guess I'm only giving this a four star rating ion view of the room. The rooms are good, but not as up-to-date as they might be.
Didn't eat at the hotel. There are plenty of cafes and supermarkets nearby, and even the odd restaurant.
But I would certainly recommend this hotel, and be happy to stay there again myself!

We stayed in Hotel Glories for 3 nights (parents & 13 yrs old child)
Seemed to be quite new, so the room was OK, however with the additional bed for our son the room was quite narrow.
The bathroom was also very clean and quite big.
The breakfast was OK.
The only (and small) minus point is, that hotel is not very close to the centre of Barcelona, but 5 minutes walk to the metro so You can get everywhere.
The staff was nice and helpfull.

This hotel is not suitable for a relaxing, romantic break as we had intended. The first problem was the lift - there was not enough room for me (small), my husband (tall, blocky) and 1 small suitcase - we had to squash in! We travelled downward to the basement area. Our room was tiny - a very small double bed pushed right up to the ensuite wall. There was a two foot aisle left in the room! The view from the window was diagonally opposite the neighbouring window and was surrounded by a triangular concrete tunnel - there was daylight somewhere at the top! Extremely dungeon like. The ensuite was long and very narrow - bath/shower way too small and quite grubby. The TV had no english channels. The breakfast room has no daylight at all and a very small breakfast buffet.
Neither of us are closterphobic but we couldn't wait to get out of there. We ended up walking the legs off ourselves in Barcelona as we couldn't bear to be in the hotel any longer than we absolutely had to. We never thought to try and change the room - looking at the website on our return they obviously have larger rooms available. We couldn't wait to get home and the hotel definitely put a damper on our weekend getaway. Will not be recommending to anyone - unless you're a backpacker and just need somewhere small to lay your head ...

Our room was clean but kind of rundown and very cookie-cutter. The staff was quite helpful and fluent in English and spoke a little French as well. There was Internet access available in the lobby for 1.50 euros per 15 minutes. I’d recommend this hotel for a business traveler on a budget rather than a tourist.

Clean and convenient place to stay for my purpose. Free coffee between 1-8pm in restaurant area. Friendly staff. TV with international channels however it was a very small room for price paid. No kettle or tea/coffee in room.

I recently stayed here for a weekday with me family, the hotel is fine, but nothing special. It’s a 5-10 minute walk to the Sagrada Família and a 25 minute walk to las Ramblas and Port Vell. The room was fine, comfort beds and clean, tv, minibar, hairdryer. Shower in the bath clean bathroom. Although my room overlooked a wall it didn’t bother me so much because the purpose of the stay was to be out exploring the city’s sights not stay in the hotel, so it was just a base and a bed. I was able to keep my luggage in a storage room after checking out as I had a late flight. Friendly staff in reception and maids.
There is a bar in the reception area which sells coffee alcohol crisps and muffins but the bar wasn’t open all day. There are no tea and coffee making facilities in the room. There is a supermarket next door to the hotel. Wi-fi worked brilliantly no issues. I went to watch Barcelona play football taxi cost 30 euros one way. Didn’t use public transport. The hotel reminds me of a typical dated Spanish city hotel travelodge style as far as facilities are concerned meaning not many just a bed and a base. Although the hotel wasn’t fabulous I would stay there again.

The hosts are lovely and are very useful at giving you knowledge about the city. The rooms were very comfortable and far exceeded our expectations. It is reasonably priced, and very close to la sagrada famillia. What's not to like?

The rooms are very small, but they do have a safe for belongings, and a bidet which is an added bonus. Bathroom is pretty good. The bed takes up half of the room. No view.
Breakfast was ok but could be better, although I did get there in the last hour.
My wifi connection worked fine for internet, but I could not make calls from my smartphone at the hotel! When I walked 20-30 feet from the hotel, I could make calls. At my other hotels I stayed at, this wasn't a problem. Weird.
Hotel is in a decent location. It's on 1 of the major streets in the city centre. Glories, in Barcelona. Close to the big Glories shopping mall, 10 min walk. Glories mall has everything, even a supermarket. There are also subway stations about a 5-10 min walk from the hotel.
Not bad, but there are better places to stay.

This was an OK hotel. I think I'm being generous with giving it 4/5, but it wouldn't take much for this to be a really good hotel, whereas I think on the whole it's pretty average.
The receptionists were all consistently welcoming and polite and said hello every time I walked through reception. The reception layout was a bit odd with the bar immediately opposite reception but I didn't spend any time in the bar anyway so it wasn't an issue.
The room was fine. It was pretty large, but quite dark due to a lack of natural light and not many lights. It was a bit tatty around the edges; the laminate flooring was badly chipped and the wire on the desklight was frayed - things like that. Also the room was quite stuffy and uncomfortably warm at night. I'm not sure if the air con was turned off as it was out of season, but however low I turned the dial, although the unit made the right noises the air wasn't cool.
Other than that, everything was fine. The room was clean, the staff were polite and there was a safe, free WIFI and a minibar in the room.
The location was almost perfect; 10 minutes walk to Sagrada Famillia/San Pau Modernista, 20 minutes to the beach, 30 minutes to Pasaje de Gracia, 35 minutes to Las Ramblas. There are two Metro stations (serving two lines) within 10 minutes; Gloria (L1, useful for Espana), and Monumental (L2).
There are plenty of supermarkets, restaurants and bars within easy walking distance just by walking up the street.

Stayed here two nights pre cruise. We arrived late and helpful receptionist pointed us in the direction of a good restaurant. Welcome was efficient and friendly. The room was comfortable and very clean. Very good central location, especially for Sagrada Familia church. Would certainly recommend and stay here again.

It is a typical "full American" breakfast, quite good. Enjoy it
Hi,
rambles is 15 or 20 minutes by bus
beach is 10-15 minutes by bus.
Thanks
Xavi
Monumental is a brisk 10 minute walk & was the one I used. It seemed you could reach the whole of the city from there without having to change.
Very basic Continental breakfast. We went to one of the many cafes within a 5 minute walk,
"Key card works the electrics in the room - that stumped us on arrival. :) Shame there is no tea/coffee facilities in the room. "Read full review
