GiGi von tapas Tapas · Brunch · Bar So here we are 15 years later and opening our 4th restaurant. What a journey. Tears, frustration, joy and many other emotions have been invested in our restaurants over the time. Overwhelmingly for us has been the support of our wonderful staff, clients and providers. Long may it continue!! Certainly, we were one of the first to introduce the brunch concept to Barcelona. A very tough nut to break at the time, fully embraced by one and all now. All of our restaurants have a varied and seasonal menu offering from bistro and international to contemporary tapas. Each of the establishments has a keen and dedicated focus on great cocktails and lively imbibements of all kinds sure to make you light of foot and put a smile on your face. Gigi´s genesis came from our love of classic Spanish tapas. Eating, sharing and drinking together! It doesn’t get much better! Our Team have a great knowledge of Barcelona and its hidden treasures, so be sure to ask

We are visiting Barcelona for New year. What a luck to find this place for the celebration. We booked last minute, in the morning of 31.12. Booking was easy and fast. Thank you, Jennifer, for the professionalism.
The celebration itself was excellent. Very well organized. Great food. Great music. We had one of the best New Year fiesta ever.
The restaurant offers nice selection of small plates and you can try not one but 2-4 dishes. Kitchen is high level. Restaurant is not far from la Sagrada Familia so do not go to touristic traps near the Sagrada, walk for 7-9 minutes and enjoy great food for reasonable price. My recommendation - duck, asian style eggplants and lamb. Cream brûlée is the must with coffee afterwards.

We were out on a day trip during our holiday visiting the Sagrada Familia and happened to stumble on this place whilst looking for food. We wanted to try some authentic Spanish/Catalonyan tapas and this place didn't disapppont.
We tried the pan con tomate, croquettes and a platter of fresh cuts of meat. All were absolutely gorgeous and for a group of small items end up really filling you up for a lunch meal. Our attendee, Amy, was an absolutely star. She spoke excellent English which assisted us as English speakers and even gave us a lesson on how to eat the pan con tomate. Our drinks were fantastic and we were so pleased with our afternoon meal. Thank you all.

I was obsessed with the mushroom croquets. I ordered another portion after the first. They were beautiful. Another dish we tried was the fries with mushroom and a fried egg on top. They were lovely. We just thought that the price was a bit too much. Very good vegetarian options.

We went in the mid-afternoon and were disappointed to see the tapas menu very limited, although what we had was very good (with the possible exception of the chicken wings in sauce, pretty sure those weren't all wings, and the chicken wasn't tender and well rendered as it can be). We had excellent service from a very helpful Irish restaurant manager who showed us how to eat the bread in the traditional way. We had a great experience.
We went back a couple of days later hoping to try the more "brunchy" elements of the menu such as granola and fruit, and dishes with eggs and so on. However the nice lady wasn't there, and the restaurant wasn't due to open for 25 mins. We asked if we could sit outside while we waited (we had walked for about half an hour to get there). The male manager refused, saying that the waiter had to put the cushions out so we could not sit at one of the tables. We wandered off and ended up eating somewhere else, of course...

We serve Brunch during the day with a small tapas menu along side, our full tapas menu is served in the evenings. It is impossible to serve everything all the time. The wings I assure you are of course wings, what else could they be ?
We have a short time in the morning to open the terrace and prepare for service. If we allow just one person to sit then people assume we are open and we cannot get our opening chores completed on time. Our opening times are available and updated both on Instagram and on Google so as to advise customers of the accurate times when we are open and to avoid any disappointment.

The brunch here was absolutely delicious and the menu had such a variety to cater to any cravings. Staff were so pleasant upon arrival and the owners are so lovely. 10/10 would recommend, great for a group or a solo treat - 5Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Loved this restaurant! We returned for a second night to enjoy more items off the creative tapas menu. Every item was superb! The lamb dish, drunken shrimp and burrata special were all very memorable. Outside seating area was busy so service was a bit slow, but the idea of tapas is to sit and enjoy, so no worries about the service. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this restaurant

We are a Canadian couple who love to cook and appreciate great food out. We’ve been sampling many tapas on our 6 week journey and Gigi Von Tapas was the best. Our server, Regina, (also the capital city of Saskatchewan, Canada ☺️) recommended dishes. Each one made fresh, more than ample serving sizes, and full of flavour. The reason we came to Gigi Von Tapas was because of the reviews during our brief layover in Barcelona. Compliments to the chef and the service was attentive. We hope to duplicate these dishes at home.

Had an excellent meal here, one of our best in Spain. Being a vegetarian its difficult to find good options in Barcelona although it has improved in recent years. Gigi Von Tapas had a wide selection to choose from, all of which were well prepared and delicious.
We particularly enjoyed the Mushroom Croquettes, the catalan bread and the Aubergine.

We had dinner 3 consecutive evenings, we tried almost everything on the menu and the dishes were delicious and healthy.
Super super, super recommended!
The staff was really friendly and they did their job brilliantly.
Couldn’t ask anything else for an informal dinner out!

I organized an Easter Brunch for a large group at gigi's and it was a wonderful experience. The service was wonderful from the get go, with steady communication via email to prepare for a group of 17, and our waitress Rebecca was absolutely wonderful. We all felt welcome in this warm environment. This was the perfect place for a bunch of kids studying abroad to get together for Easter Brunch. Furthermore, the food was delicious and of reasonable prices for such high quality.

We had some lovely tapas including chicken wings, cheese board and olives, but the highlight were the drunken prawns and gigis fries. They were fantastic and ended up going to firebug as a result. Jenny was super helpful

It was a very nice experience to have dinner with the family! We had eight different tapas, all of which had tasted great. The service was very friendly and the drink as well as the food came to the table very quickly. It was a successful evening, and would go out to eat there right away!

Gigi's in Barcelona is one of my favourite places to eat while visiting this beautiful city. Brunch is best I've had with lots of choice on the menu. Love the pancakes and have often popped back for some great tapas with a Bloody Mary or some cocktails in the evening. The staff are always so friendly, just a great vibe to this restaurant. I am looking forward to going back later this year ❤️

Loved it, loved it, loved it! We had certain dishes in mind, but we changed one into restaurant’s recommendation dish. Everything was absolutely perfect, and the recommendated dish (burrata & green gazpacho) was my favorite! We had a short and busy visit in Barcelona, but this restaurant was the high point of it.

we came here for a late lunch before going to sagrada familia. The menu had a large variety of food, which is something I always look for given my food allergies and dietary restrictions. Every bite of the food was amazing and was a great find in that area.
