Very clean tidy and great location.

Hotel staff were very helpful, they point out everything you could ever need on a map for you if you ask on arrival and give you recommendations for places if needed. One guy even rang a friend who is an expert for us. Service was 5*

Rooms were a good size, clean modern and fresh. Shower was nice and powerful towels were really soft. Bed and pillow were comfortable.

Only reason it is not 5* is because of the noise at night from the bar next door, Barcelona party's into the early hours, this didn't keep us up at all as we were tired from exploring but it may well affect other lighter sleepers We were right next to the bar other rooms would no doubt be a little quieter.

Overall superb hotel and location for the money we paid.

I was looking for accommodation opposite my friends who stayed in a more expensive hotel.

This one was superb - a really compact, small room but with all the amenities that I required. A comfortable double bed, nice shower and extremely reasonably priced.

Very clean! Would highly recommend!

Excellent location and extra friendly staff .

Recommend to have more isolated windows to avoid the street noise .
High price comparing to the value given , maybe it was a high season for the visits , but we paid like a 5 star prices during this 4 night stay .

All in all I like it and I guess it will much more lively during summer and prices should be less by far .

Booked this based on reviews, pictures and so on. Stayed 2 nights this week for work.

Looks nice enough, rooms clean and well appointed. As I was travelling solo the rate was good £148 for two nights with breakfast.

Room 105 was tiny, I could pretty much touch the walls with fully outstretched arms. The foot sized balcony looked out over the alleyway and the opposite residential building (its so close you can see into their rooms and watch their TV if its on) as well as a popular outdoor football/basketball court. The noise was pretty loud and as its close to the road as well its not ideal if you want a better nights rest.

The location is central but the area around the hotel isn't very nice, walking at night from Ramblas was adventurous. Use a taxi.

Staff were available and attentive, breakfast is pretty low key, nice enough buffet and it looks nicely laid out.

All in all its was disappointing, will not go back and prefer to pay a little more and be in a less grim area.

Dear Dominic, Many thanks for staying with us during your visit to Barcelona. We love to hear from our guest, hence we kindly appreciate your review. We are sorry you were disappointed with the size of your room. As it states in our website, "minirooms" are the most economic ones, thus the size. But at Niu Hotel we also have bigger rooms available, most of then with open views to the Rambla. Maybe that room wasn't the perfect choice this time, but we hope to see you soon again. Kind Regards

You will love staying here! It is about a 10min walk to the maritime museum, the harbour, and the famous "rambles" and market. If you enjoy walking it is a relatively easy walk to Picasso museum. In the hotel neighborhood, there are lots of places to eat and they are reasonable! Try the " woodfire" pizza place. The staff at the hotel is super. They are very helpful. The 9euro breakfast is a good deal. Good selection. There are some small shops that sel water, soda, snacks, fruit, and other food. Don't miss the "surprise statue near the hotel! There is a wash and fold about 5 mins south. They do a great job. Bed and linens comfy, bathroom shower large, nice tv. Elevator to all floors!

Stayed here for 4 nights and found the hotel to be new and modern. In a really good location - just a short walk away from all the main streets and shops and metro stops. Rooms were clean and light and had a safe in the room free of charge. Included towels and hair dryer as well as shampoo etc. Reception staff were very friendly and spoke good English. Didn't have breakfast as could find this cheaper in shops nearby. Would recommend this hotel and definitely return.

The hotel was extremely clean, super friendly staff, fantastic location as close to all the shops (10 min walk from La Rambles), restaurants, beach and bars! Would recommend to anyone to stay here!

Although the roof top pool was a small area, we managed to get sunbeds every time - Note we did visit in the last week of Sept so may be busier at different times.

Stayed here for 2 nights.

Pros:

-Close to La Rambla but not as busy as hotels on the strip itself
-Very comfy bed
-Nice shower
-Bar and food in the hotel
-Rooftop pool
-24 hour checkin
-Fast WIFI

Cons
-Rooms are small, like really small. We had 2 regular sized suitcases and couldn't have them both open at the same time unless one was on the bed.
-Took a long time to check in
-School playground across the street
-TV has no HDMI port for a chromecast/laptop

Taxi about €30-35. However airport bus is €6.20 which goes into the centre of Barcelona, Catalunya Square If you know where you are going it is approximately 15 mins walk down La Ramblas turning right a short walk past the market.

Do you have American plugs available in the rooms?
Answer from Lesley O
Greater London, United Kingdom9 contributions1 helpful vote
Generally all Spanish hotels have standard two pin European electrical sockets. I am unfamiliar with design and wattage of US electrical sockets and would therefore suggest taking a European adapter with you to use on any US electrical appliances, which is what I do. You can generally buy these from most international airports.

What is the best way to get to this hotel from Barcelona airport?
Answer from naglaa s
Cairo, Egypt
Hi dear Gemma, There are several ways to get the hotel from the airport: TAXI. About 40€ and 30 minutes. If you want, we can book a private transfer for you. The driver will wait for you in arrivals of the airport showing a sign with your names. From another side, there is a special bus, service every 10 minutes, it does not work during night. Round trip ticket 10,20€ by person. It stops in Plaza Catalunya, about 500 meters from our doors, most of the way for a narrow street not very comfortable to walk with luggage, so you can take a taxi in Plaza Catalunya, about 6€. TRAIN and METRO. There is a train (R2) every 30 minutes from terminal 2 to main train station. Once you are there, you can take the metro, green line, L3, until Drassanes and walk 250 meters. Metro ticket, 2’20€ one trip. About 50 minutes. METRO. L9 Sud (orange) to ZONA Universitaria. Once there, Green line (L3) to Drassanes and walk 250 meters. There is a metro stop in each terminal (A1 in T1, A2 in T2) Special price for metro from the Airport, 4,60€ by person and trip. About 50 minutes. Hope that helps you. Naglaa
