Photos are deceptively charming but the premises were of a motel trying to present itself as upscale. This would be fine if the deception stopped there.
They nickel and dime in fees: charging guests $30 for parking, tacking on additional $15 in facilities fees on top of taxes and fees that were already charged upon booking, and their $100 pet fee is egregious and exploitative of Carmel's dog-friendly reputation. Sure they have "electric car charging" but this "boutique" motel only offers outlets instead of actual chargers with J1772/Tesla cables.
Carmel has a lot to offer in charming accommodations. This inn isn't one of them.
