We drove from the UK, had an overnight just outside of Dijon, and then travelled to Nice. The hotel was easy to find, stopped outside, unloaded and one of the hotel staff was very helpful in stopping the traffic so we could turn around and go into the car park next door...
The car park is very, very tight, high kerb entrance so watch your alloys! And don’t park in any of the out of the way spaces, we moved our car into a different space after one night due to some filthy human being urinating on it! Delightful...
Hotel staff, room and roof top bar were all pleasant and really just what we expected, very clean room, which was large enough, separate toilet and bathroom, lovely large shower...
Location is great for shopping, going to the bars/restaurants, promenade and the train station.
Would use it again, but maybe not the car park!

We stayed in this hotel for 12 nights and enjoyed every day of it, very friendly and professional staff at the reception especially Mr Engin was very helpful with advices for local dine outs and attractions to visit. We had lovely room with the view to the garden and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Rooms were a bit small but good enough for us, the rooms were cleaned every single day and the breakfast was good too. Great choice of mini bar was very handy! Will definitely staying in this hotel in the future .

We are staying here at the moment for a week it's so lovely nice size room great size balcony we are in the prestige room we opted for room only as we like to sample different places to dine I will keep posted oh train is only few mins away great location for day trip to monaco or cannes. Old town fab and promenade like nothing I've ever seen before

One night we had a renivated room: very good, one night not renovated. That made the whole difference, but staff very helpful and clean and descent hotel. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast personell the most charming and welcoming! The "boss" of the breakfast was called Marie I think and she was service minded and efficient, the best employee of the hotel. Promote her!!

We stayed in Mercure Centre Notre Dame Nice 3 nights on 5-8.6.2018. We were interested in an average-sized room so we booked 5 months ago a room called Superior Room, having a size of "at least 258ft2", which is 24m2. Meanwhile the category Superior Room disappeared from the hotel site.
When we got to the hotel I expected to get the room I had payed for, but I was told that that category didn't exist anymore. I told the clerk that I expect to get a room having the size of the Superior Room and asked him about the size of the room he is going to give us. He answered that he didn't know what is the size of this room nor the size of the room booked. Not very convincing. It came out that the room was much smaller than the one booked, and it was not the one I had payed for.
The clerk added that he'll block an amount of 150E on our bank account to guaranty we pay for our possible expenses during our stay at the hotel. So, in addition to not receiving the room we had booked, a sum of money was blocked without any warning on our bank account. I had met that behavior once in the past but that hotel had told me beforehand that it was its policy and I accepted it.
In Nice Centre Notre Dame Mercure this sum of money blocked on my account was a surprise for me, as unexpected as the abolition of the Superior Room that I had payed for.
Furthermore the maintenance at the hotel was average. The computer in the hall was out of order, the few gym machines weren't much better, …
The day after our arrival I talked to the hotel director and he changed our room into a larger one, but later he denied that anything inappropriate had been performed by the hotel regarding the kind of room I received upon my arrival or the money guaranty which I had been compelled to agree with.
When we got to the hotel I expected to get the room I had payed for, but I was told that that category didn't exist anymore. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations regarding your stay especially your room size and credit card pre-autorisation (which is a standard process as I told you when we met). It is a pity that the upgrade in a Junior Suite Terrace Privilege room for the rest of your stay did not satisfy you. In spite of this you claimed for a total refund of your whole stay and I am really sorry for that.

Hi
All our Junior Suites are situated with a large 20 m2 balcony but to the Notre Dame avenue.

Our junior suites are non smoking.
But they have a huge terrace on which you will be able to smoke.
You can also smoke on our rooftop terraces or in our 2000m2 gardens !
