- Heather F6 contributionsOur guide Dennis was awesome! He was knowledgeable and accommodating. We loved everything about the tour except the lavender fields. This part of the tour was underwhelming. You literally pull up into a little field with lavender. It looked nothing like the stunning pictures shown. There was no place to sit and enjoy them, no educational signs, nothing except fields with lavender and lots of weeds. On the way up we visited a waterfall that had a lavender oil extraction booth. We were very interested to learn more about this process, but unfortunately, it wasn’t open yet when we were there. The rest of the tour was great. The village we visited was quaint and had wonderful places to stop and enjoy a coffee and croissant. The gorge, waterfall and lake were beautiful. Would we still take the tour knowing this? Probably. I just would not have high expectations for the lavender fields. - j pTampa, FL219 contributionsThe boat tour starts with a pickup at the Nice harbor. Once on the boat, we cruised straight to the Mala Cave where the boat anchored and we swam in the crystal clear water. They had goggles and pool noodles to float with and you can also take your own. Lots of little fish and it was really enjoyable. The we cruised multiple places where they pointed out houses of movie stars and other interesting things. We stopped in Villafranca-Sur-Mer and had an hour to explore and eat. This trip was one of the highlights of our weeklong visit to Nice and we really enjoyed it. - Donavin d1 contribution10/10 would recommend Laurent, he is absolutely amazing! We booked it last minute to get out of Nice during the Tour de France, he is super knowledgeable, has a very sharp sense of humour, and has great hosting skills.
We started with a trip to Antibes, then Cannes, then Grasse and then Monaco. Due to the Tour de France the road to Monaco was closed off, but he managed to get us in after all.
He knew about all the hot-spots in the town and what to avoid. He had the unfortunate luck to get stuck with half a group that didn't speak English/French and the other half didn't speak Spanish/French; so he was constantly saying everything in Spanish and then English.
Dylon kept us up to date with time and pickup location; managed our expectations about Monaco, very professional!

The boat was the perfect size and well maintained. Nicola was super nice, very informative, and easy to spend a few hours with on the water! It rained a bit in the morning, but he eventually found the sun and the weather didn't matter at all (it was actually a nice reprieve from the heat!). We cooked and laughed together and enjoyed our results around a big family table. - Shaina MOttawa, Canada10 contributionsThis tour was awesome! Our guide, Marcel, was very knowledgeable about the areas we were visiting and was able to provide great information. He was also able to take us to a great little salami and cheese shop in Castellane!
As for the itinerary, it is not super accurate. The information provided states that the tour starts at 8:00 and pick-ups will begin 30-60 mins BEFORE this time. However, we were the first to be picked up (at 8:10 am) and by the time we had picked up the rest of the group around Nice, it was about 9:15 am. We ended up being dropped back off at the end of the day by 7:00 pm.
Also, it is a lot of driving with stops along the way that break it up pretty nicely. Although keep in mind that to come back to Nice, you are on the road for a good 2-3 hours straight (mountain driving and highway). The roads are VERY curvy and narrow, so if you get car sick easily definitely mention it beforehand so you can get a front seat and take some meds before.
To continue with the itinerary, we made a little stop of about 15 mins at a little waterfall and for a bathroom break, hit the road, then we stayed about 45 mins in Castellane, hit the road and stopped at a few viewpoints for Gorges-de-Verdon along the way, approx. 1 hour in Moustier-Sainte-Marie (we had lunch here), then back on the road, stayed for about 15-20 mins at the lavender fields (pictures only, no guided tour of a lavender processing plant as indicated in the description), then back on the road to reach Lac-Sainte-Croix which we ended up staying at for 30 mins. BRING YOUR BATHING SUIT TO SWIM HERE!!! We were the only ones that had brought their bathing suit and boy were we glad! We went swimming and the water was so refreshing! There were also activities like stand up paddle boarding and kayaking to do and our guide had given us the option of spending less time in Moustiers-Sainte-Marie so we could do water activities in Lac-Sainte-Croix.
All in all, it was a great experience, we had a great time with our guide and I would do it again.
A few other notes :
- There is NO wifi on the “bus”
- The “bus” is an 8 person van, plus the driver

Ruben, our tour guide, was very friendly and personable and did an amazing job at telling us about Nice, the places we visited, and later giving recommendations to visit in the city! - Odyssey563839159321 contributionMy wife and I booked a boat tour with Neil to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had an absolutely wonderful day, and it was the highlight of our trip. It was private, luxurious, beautiful and so much fun. Neil provided light snacks, rose and water, and a lot of great conversations.
Neil was also a pleasure to work with during the booking process. He was responsive to messages and offered to cater our boat day to meet what we were looking for.
