John Mulaney says he 'busted' someone watching his Netflix comedy special Everybody's in LA on a commercial flight

John Mulaney jokingly said he 'busted' someone watching him on a flight on Wednesday.

The 41-year-old stand-up comedian took to Instagram to share a photo of a fellow traveller sitting in front of him on a commercial flight, who was watching Everybody's in LA.

Alongside the photo of the fan watching his six-part comedy special, which debuted as part of the Netflix Is A Joke Fest, he wrote a short caption: 'Busted.'

The Saturday Night Live alum — who wants to have 'one more baby' with his partner, actress Olivia Munn, 43, amid her cancer battle — also shared the Instagram Story post to the tune of Wang Chung's 1985 song To Live And Die In LA.

His Netflix special John Mulaney Presents: Everybody's in LA streamed live during the Netflix Is A Joke Fest from May 6 to May 10.

This comes shortly after he opened up about his rehab stint from late 2020 to early 2021 during his appearance on the April 30th episode of Netflix chat show My Next Guest With David Letterman.

He candidly detailed the toll it took on him physically while battling an addiction to benzo drugs Xanax and Klonopin.

'It's not immediately great nights of sleep and serenity,' he admitted. 'Getting off those can be very rough. I was in the detox hospital room and I was grinding my teeth so much that a molar cracked.'

He said that the process was especially difficult at the beginning and he wanted to leave rehab after just four days.

He ended up staying and shared with Letterman that he would be celebrating three years of sobriety on December 20 later this year.

Recently, his partner revealed they were 'desperate' to expand their family and opened up about her battle with breast cancer

The couple were first romantically linked in 2021 and welcomed their son Malcolm, now three, in November of that same year.

They went public with their romance in April 2021 and three months later, he filed for divorce from artist Anna Marie Tendler after six years of marriage.

In March, Munn revealed she was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and has undergone four surgeries, including a double mastectomy, in just a 10-month span.

In her Instagram post announcing the startling health update at the time, she thanked her doctors and also praised Mulaney for his support.

'I'm so thankful to my friends and family for loving me through this. I'm so thankful to John for the nights he spent researching what every operation and medication meant and what side effects and recovery I could expect.

She also gushed about her partner 'for being there before I went into each surgery and being there when I woke up, always placing framed photos of our little boy Malcolm so it would be the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes.'

In the comments section, Mulaney thanked Munn for fighting so hard to be with him and their son.
