TUMI Update July: Exciting Developments in Urban Mobility 🌍🚍 We are pleased to share the TUMI Update for July. Key Highlights The latest update features the ICLEI World Congress in São Paulo. Discussions centered on the future of electric bus fleets, including a national fleet renewal program that aims to introduce over 2,000 e-buses. The innovative Reciclo program from Fortaleza was also highlighted as a model for sustainable transport. Insights Emerged from the East Africa Regional Exchange  The Regional Exchange in Kigali focused on the electrification of minibus operations across East Africa. Key discussions centered on battery circularity, exploring strategies for managing end-of-life batteries and promoting sustainable practices in e-minibus operations. Some New Initiatives - A new partnership call with universities, national training institutes, and development sector organizations is being launched to enhance the operational efficiency of electric buses.  - Additionally, the "Transforming Urban Mobility" e-learning courses are now available anytime on FutureLearn, offering flexible learning options for those interested in advancing their knowledge in sustainable urban transport.
