Connecting leadership with opportunities in Future Mobility: Electrification including EV, Charging, Battery & Energy Storage
🔋 Whilst the Inflation Reduction Act attracts investment from battery manufacturers towards the US there’s another prospect on the horizon 🔋 The UAE! Known for having ‘deep pockets’, there are on-going conversations that cannot be ignored by manufacturers in Europe 🌍 We’ve already seen sizable investments from Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company)’s £1 billion stake in UK BESS to the Titan Lithium's £1 billion lithium-processing facility in Abu Dhabi Since battery manufacturers are heavily reliant on subsidiaries I’d be interested to see how feasible it is for these gigafactory plants 🏭🍃 Supply chain challenges aren’t exactly new to the sector, so, I'd anticipate some solutions will be needed Whether Europe can retain the interest of battery manufacturers with more incentives is another conversation to be had, but it’s not completely off the cards. Some notable recent successes from the EU include ACC - Automotive Cells Company and Northvolt raising substantial funds to scale up production. Where do you expect growth and investment for battery manufacturers in the foreseeable? Curious to hear your thoughts! #battery #gigafactory
