TOP COMMUNITY WINS $100,000!

The 2024 ParticipACTION Community Better Challenge has concluded. This national competition to find Canada’s most active community comes with a top prize of $100,000 for local physical activity initiatives. The challenge ran from June 1–30. ParticipACTION will be announcing the national, provincial and territory winners the week of July 22, 2024.

Moving more and sitting less is made easier when we do it together. There are tons of opportunities to stay active as our community gets back into the swing of things with the return of many amazing events and community recreation.

Community Challenge Prize Opportunity

Prize Opportunity
In the case that the City of Kamloops is selected as the Community Challenge winner and receives the $100,000 prize, we will be awarding three individuals in the community with a recreation prize pack consisting of:
- one annual pass to the Tournament Capital Centre
- one $250 gift card to Dolson's Source for Sports
- one $250 gift card to Runners Sole
To Qualify:
- You have Signed Up as an Individual and have pledged to be active in our community for the month of June.
- Individuals who sign up will earn one entry into the grand draw. Individuals that are placed into the draw will only be allowed to win once (i.e. one prize of one annual pass to the Tournament Capital Centre or one $500 gift card.)
- You have filled out the Enter to Win – Individual form by midnight on June 30, 2024.
Prize Opportunity
In the case that the City of Kamloops is selected as the Community Challenge winner and receives the $100,000 prize, we will be awarding five local organizations with $1000 to support with future initiatives.
To Qualify:
- Your organization must have organized, facilitated, and submitted accurate information for two intentional events that encourage movement in our community (above and beyond regular/on-going programming), in the month of June.
- Each of these events will count for one entry into the grand draw. Organizations that are placed into the draw will only be allowed to win once (i.e. one prize of $1000 can be awarded to your organization).
- You have filled out the Enter to Win – Organization form by midnight on June 30, 2024.
