An advisory committee was formed to assist with the review and update of KAMPLAN, the City's Official Community Plan. The purpose of the committee was to help guide the project and, through staff, provide reports and recommendations to Council. Committee members were tasked with representing the community in a professional and objective manner.

The composition of the KAMPLAN Advisory Committee was as follows:

• two representatives from Council (non-voting)
• three community members
• one development industry representative (Canadian Home Builders' Association - Central Interior)
• one Social Planning Council representative
• one environmental organization representative (Kamloops Natural Areas Advisory Committee)
• one Chamber of Commerce representative
• city staff (non-voting)

The term of the Committee ended upon completion of the KAMPLAN Review and Update.
