Due to the extreme heat and for the safety of our attendees, we have decided to postpone the Seniors' Picnic to Friday, September 6. Attendees will need to re-register for this new date with the link below. Thank you for your understanding.
Seniors' Picnic - Rescheduled for September 6
This is a free, annual event for seniors in our community, held each July. The event is a great opportunity for adults 55 and over to visit with old and new friends and participate in activities.
Rescheduled to Friday, September 6
10:00 am–1:00 pm
Riverside Park, East End
The Kamloops Rube Band and Jeremy Kneeshaw will provide musical entertainment, setting the perfect backdrop for a picnic-style lunch served by the Kamloops Paddlewheelers Lions Club.
In addition to entertainment, the event offers a range of activities suitable for all levels of mobility and interests. From gentle fitness exercises to chair Zumba, lawn games, and even a photo booth, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
The event is free; however, registration is required. Individuals who registered for the July 12 will need to register with the link below or call 250-828-3500 to confirm your attendance.
Seniors' Light Tour
We wish to extend a special thank you to the transit bus drivers and all of the volunteers who helped make the 2023 event possible for over 600 attendees. This is a free, annual event hosted by the City of Kamloops each December and put on by several volunteers to provide seniors a tour around town to see some of the best lights of the City. After the tour, there is a tea service and sing-a-long at the Sandman Centre. This year's tour took place on Thursday, December 7. Registration is now closed.
